Ooooh Tec - be careful what you say :-D

I can't even pronounce Meth....er....what's his name :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Mar 2014 21:50

I am impressed that you can spell his name - I'm not even going to try :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Mar 2014 21:48

I didn't think of that Methuselah :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Mar 2014 21:46

Linda frightened that boy off a long time ago Sue ;-)

You couldn't have been there before Captain Cook Sue - that would make you even older than Linda :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Mar 2014 21:42

That explains why Cook had a breakdown after his second voyage, one look at you on the shore would do it :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Mar 2014 21:42

I don't even know his mother :-0, and I don't want a house keeper. She might be awful, can't cook, and talks a lot :-D

SueMaid Report 2 Mar 2014 21:41

The poor lad ran away from home - he knew how much gardening there would be and couldn't face it :-D

I was there when Captain Cook arrived - he wasn't too happy when he saw that I was there first :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Mar 2014 21:37

He is going to be very busy once you get home, as will his mother who will be chief housekeeper :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Mar 2014 21:35

That sounds interesting Linda

Tecwyn Report 2 Mar 2014 21:34

Never mind Sue, it will wait for you till you are ready and able :-)

I can't imagine what my garden looks like. A jungle I should imagine. Never mind, I'll get Linda to tell that boy from the village to get busy out there :-D

I am watching a programme about James Cook, they have just arrived at New Holland (Sydney)

I don't mind the rain but I wanted to get out into the garden this weekend - it's needs a tidy-up and now of course the weeds are flourishing. I have a busy week this week so I wanted to get it done. Never mind - at least the house is clean and tidy.

I never get crackling right but then we don't have roast pork very often.

Good Morning Sue, Glad to hear that the weather has improved, everything will have enjoyed the rain, even if you didn't.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Mar 2014 21:18

No, it won't do Tec, I may have to wag my finger at you again :-D :-D

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all beside yourself with glee today. :-D

Huia - I have no idea what my leg weighed, I had never weighed it. I weighed 9stone 2lbs today, so I suppose a reasonable weight minus my leg will be about 10 stone. I have never been a heavy weight.
The weight fell off me very quickly, and seems to be going back as quickly, but I am eating better than I have for a long time.
Nice to be able to meet up with friends and relatives from afar.

Hello Sylvia, Please keep the snow with you, we don't want it here thank you.

Hello Linda, I fell asleep again this afternoon - it won't do :-)

Hello everyone :-D

The sun is shining this morning and everything looks refreshed from the rain. I hope it doesn't get steamy but I'm sure it will :-(

Hello Sylvia

The pork was good, the crackling very crisp, one of my better efforts :-D

Hi Sue, and everyone!

we got up to snow this morning .................. about 2cm that fell between about 6 am and 8:30am

then it stopped ....................

and it is now raining

yesterday it was dry, but a bitterly cold wind.

March definitely came in like a lion!

I immediately lost 5 lbs when I had the first mastectomy, and then another 5 lbs the second time :-D

We also have our main meal in the evening .............. and it is also roast pork for us tonight

I wonder if we will have leeks tonight????

OH went into the garden yesterday afternoon, and dug leeks to have with last night's turkey sausages ................. our nod to St David's Day :-)
