Hello Tec , it is splendid to know you have been home and that you passed all the practical "tests " with flying colours :-D I hope the time doesn't drag to much before you get the order of release .

Linda , you must have done a lovely job with Esmes last feed or she wouldn't have slept so peacefully :-) it does sound like a complicated procedure , especially the venting .

~~~~ to Mersey and her dazzeling collection of pastel glitters :-) :-)
I do Tec but only in pastel colours im afraid LOL...take your pick :-D ;-)
Tecwyn Report 6 Mar 2014 15:23
Mersey - Do you do the Fairy Dust in any other colour than Pink?
My house and garden would look much nicer in green :-D.
Linda I did mention the eye infection to the Sister last week, but nothing was done. I bet she remembered when my GP shoved a prescription under her nose :-).
I was hoping to see my neighbour as I left this morning. She said that if she saw us leaving she would bring her new dogs out to see me, but unfortunately it was lashing with rain as we left, so I didn't get to see the dogs.
I bet you had a lot of post behind the door Tec
It is typical that they haven't treated your eye infection until now
Ahhhhhhhbut Tec its not long to go, on the home stretch as they say, I am going to sprinkle your home and garden with lots of sparkle as a welcoming home present.....bet you will love that LOL :-D :-D :-D ;-) <3 <3
I admire you Linda for being able to carry out that procedure. I am terrified of babies at the best of times :-D but that would frighten me. What a good grandma you are :-).
Hello Mersey Pink Lady :-D,
Yes, I at last got through my own front door. How good is that, trouble is I had to come out again. :-|
Tecwyn Report 6 Mar 2014 14:43
The filter will be out next week Linda, then it's just the bed holding things up.
Oh my GP just popped in to check up on me. She is very nice, and took over from my GP that left at Christmas. I'm sure that she should be in school :-D she looks so young, and wears some very trendy gear.
I told her that I have an eye infection, so she is getting some antibiotic drops to use. I did mention it to the Sister last week, but nothing was done. Now my eyes are quite sore and red.
Should soon clear up with the drops.
The GP seems happy that I am still here during the time the filter is removed.
Hi Linda....special cuddles to Esme <3 <3
LindainHerriotCountry Report 6 Mar 2014 14:28
Esme is still asleep, but she is due for a feed, so will be waking soon. The tube feeding is a complicated rigmarole, there is so much to remember, but I did the last one fine.
The worst thing is venting her after the feed, you burp a normal baby, but not a tubie. You have to attach a syringe to the tube and draw back some of the milk, so the air comes with it. You have to be careful not to do it too hard or it would pull on the stomach wall. Once the air is out you push the milk back and leave the air in the syringe. If you don't get all the air out, she is uncomfortable, so it is a fine balancing act
Oh Tec, that is wonderful <3
You are on the home stretch now, you just need that filter out, hopefully the bed will have arrived by then and you can go home for good
Hello Linda,
I expect you are very busy, coping with Esme and her feeding regime, not to mention the toxic nappies.
I hope her rotten cold is improving today. Hope Eve hasn't got it.
Yes, at last. I got to go home. It was wonderful to see my house, and familiar things again.
My daughter had left the place looking lovely, and so inviting. She and my SIL have worked very hard in getting the place ready for my return.
The OT team, all four of them at one time, then the boss left, really put me through my paces, upstairs, and downstairs.
They got me practising everything that I will need to do.
I got full marks, and they said it was easiest home assessment they had done, and they couldn't see any problems at all when I get home.
It was hard to leave again, and wonder when I would return.
I am looking after Esme today while my daughter has gone to work for a meeting even though she is still on maternity leave. It is non stop, but she is asleep now. I had forgotten about the toxic nappies :-D
I hope Tec managed to get out today
Sorry - I had a phone call.
This show was about the lack of safety in car racing and some of the crashes were dreadful. Apparently they would cover up the bodies on the side of the road and the race would carry on :-0
Good night Tec and fingers crossed for you that the transport arrives in the morning <3
Sue , my Dad and eldest brother where right into motor raceing when I was a child . We where at a race ( Brands hatch or Silverstone ? ) in the late 60s and one of the raceing drivers died in a crash , I can't remember the name of the driver , just the awful hush that fell over the place :-( Personally , I never saw the attraction to the sport .
I'm going to turn in , I could do with an early night .
~~~~~ to anyone that comes in later .
