Hello Everyone, :-)

Quite a dull day her, but the weatherman says it will clear to sunny periods later.

I expect my daughter will visit later today, after she and SIL have visited the Duchess.

They have been going to the house every weekend, getting things ready for my return, but having been there on Thursday, I can't see that anything more can be done until I get there - whenever that may be.

Well I think I will go to bed now. I have had an eye infection for a few days. Been using antibiotic eye drops the doctor prescribed today, but my eyes are very sore and watering tonight. Looking at the laptop isn't helping.

Enjoy your day Sue, hello to Berona,

Good Evening to Linda, and anyone who looks in,

Goodnight,
Tec

:-) :-) :-)

Yes I realise that winter may not be done with us yet. She often has a sting in the tail.
My daughter and SIL will probably visit tomorrow. If they come early enough I may ask to be released to be taken for a haircut - it is long overdue now. My hairdresser will be surprised to see me turn up with a leg missing, as will many in the town when I start getting around.

I just tipped a glass of orange juice over, another inch and it will have gone all over my laptop - then I would have been sad :-(

I do remember terry nappies and the nappy bucket, as you say _ yuk. Disposables were just coming in when I had my second, but they were worse than useless. The modern disposables are brilliant in comparison.

We spent most of this afternoon playing tea parties in the garden. I am glad you were able to get out and enjoy the fresh air. Make thee most of it while you can there is plenty of time for snow yet

Sounds like little Esme is a full time job - as you say, thank goodness for automatics.
Imagine the days of Terry towelling nappies - ugh :-0.

The museum sounds good. Glad that Esme is taken with the stick shaker.
I expect Eve was in her element there with things to make.

I've just been for push around the grounds with a nurse. It was lovely in the sunshine.

She is still blowing bubbles.out of her nose When she coughs, she makes herself sick. She gets changed lots of Times in the day. Thank goodness for automatic washers.

We had a lovely time at the museum this morning, it was an art and craft session making musical instruments. We made a stick shaker with bells and ribbons on it. I must say we did a pretty good job of it. OH is shaking it for Esme now and she is very taken with it, she is "talking" to it

How is Esme's cold today? hope she is getting better.

Lovely Spring day here.

Good morning.

I have been playing since 7am better than yesterday when it was 6.30.

I am having a quiet moment to myself while she is with mum. Then we are off to the library to change her books and to the museum which has some special interactive children's exhibition on.

Mum is looking after Esme this morning, I am not sure which is the hardest work.

It is strange how extreme weather can be so localised. They often have bad storms in Dolthingy as Linda calls it, and we have nothing where we live.

Well I'm off to bed now, it's been a busy day but an enjoyable one. I did get to go home.

Enjoy your day Sue,

Sleep well Linda, and Mersey,

Goodnight,
Tec

I think it was a clip of the horrible storm clouds over Sydney Harbour as OH's brother sent him a message about it as the family were concerned. Sometimes Sydney get extreme weather while we just get the tail end. The storm travelled quite a way up north before it went out to sea.

How nice Mersey - did you make the green fairy dust just for Tec? :-D

Tecwyn Report 6 Mar 2014 21:54

Hello zooming Mersey :-D

Green will be fine then thank you - ignore the neighbours if they complain :-D
I noticed there were daffodils out I my garden this morning. Could see them through the windows. :-)

That could well have been the storm they showed on tv - of course they showed the storm over the Bridge and the Opera House. The sky looked horrendous, very black, and there was obviously a violent wind.

It was wet here today, and quite cold.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 6 Mar 2014 21:41

We had a very strange thunderstorm. The clouds were quite scary and it looked almost like the end of the world :-0

We were with the children having just met the school bus and the skies opened. It poured. The thunder was deafening and the lightening bolts came one after the other. It was quite a show. When we arrived home our son told us that he had driven in and out of the storm on his way home from Uni. It hasn't even rained at home. Sydney also copped a battering.

Good Morning Sue,

Yes I made it home at last, it was wonderful and felt very strange - I just can't wait to get back there.
I saw something on the tv the other night on the news channel about a very freaky storm you had. They actually showed the city, so I don't know if you had that.

SueMaid Report 6 Mar 2014 21:21

Hello - I can't stay long but I had to see if you made it home today Tec.....and you did :-D

Tec is right Linda - you are a wonderful grandma. I can imagine your daughter is very grateful for all you and OH do.

Hi Mersey!!

The sun is shining today but it isn't forecast to stay long. I have to go out soon so I'm hoping it stays nice long enough for me to get back home. We are having some very erratic weather at the moment with some whacking thunderstorms.

Hello, :-)

Linda, When Taffy died, my neighbour decided that she would foster dogs, usually collies. That is that she would look after a dog from the collie rescue centre until such time as a permanent home can be found.
In January she took in a 14 month old collie bitch, a very pretty dog. She sent me photo's. She's black, white, and tan.
Then two weeks ago the centre contacted her to ask could she take on a 13 year old dog. His owners were moving and couldn't take him.
Her heart got the better of her head, and she agreed to take him. Apparently he is a rather large soppy gentle dog, and she said that she will keep this one as it is unfair to pass him on all the time.
So it looks like I will have two dogs visiting, until such time as the younger dog is found a home.
They will have to find me, as I can't get out the back at the moment until a ramp is built.

Hello Amanda,
Yes it was good to go home if only for an hour. The OT people were satisfied that I could cope with things at home. It is just that bed that I'm to have that is holding me up from going home.

Mersey, If not green then turquoise would do

:-D
