Hope you manage to catch up on your day. It is horrible to oversleep.
Don't take all your clothes to the shop, you may need them one day, especially with winter coming :-D

Hello all.

I didn't get up very early today as I had trouble getting to sleep last night, even after half a sleeping pill. I could have taken another half but I am getting low on them, and anyway I want to try to cut them out eventually. I have finished my breakfast now, and need to get ready to go to town to work in the shop. Yesterday I sorted out some clothes that I have not worn much in the past so am taking them in. Still a lot of stuff I must get rid of.

You are so right about fresh air and sunshine lifting the spirits. I have really enjoyed sitting out in it these last two days, watching the birds.

Sunny here too after another thunderstorm through the night. I think our summer is definitely on the way out but I do love Autumn.

The sun is shining here :-)

So good to able to have a family day out in this weather in March, after the long dreary wet winter we had. Will do them good in the sun.

The sun did come out here too eventually, so I had a few hours outside, including my lunch again.

Then came in to watch the rugby, but shouldn't have bothered :-( :-D

It was really hot, so much so that my neck is burnt. It was a nice place and Eve had a great time.

I'm sure I'll find things that need doing when I get home Sue.

I am just popping in quickly before we go out for the day. We are going to a children's farm and adventure playground. It is a glorious da, so it soul be nice.

We had a busy day yesterday. OH and I took Eve swimming in the morning, then met up w with her parents and Esme to lunch in a restaurant for lunch. We were able to sit outside where there was a large paved area so Eve could play on her scooter and keep herself occupied. Esme tried her new buggy out and really liked it so she was no bother either.

I am glad that you managed to get out Tec, fresh air does make all the difference

There's still a bit of life in the garden yet but OH's hanging baskets are all but finished and some of the flowering shrubs have had their flowers spoiled by the amount of rain we've had.

I should think that little more can be done in the house until you are back home. You will have a better idea of what you need. I hope your daughter and SIL found the Duchess well when they visited.

Are you putting your garden "to bed" yet ready for the winter?

My daughter and SIL had been to visit the Duchess. Then they were going on to do a little more to the house.
I pointed out to them that having been there on Thursday I don't think there is anything else they can do, so now would be a good time to take a break.

Sorry I missed you Tec. I'm so glad you have had a nice visit from your daughter and SIL. It has been quite sunny here today although rain looked imminent a couple of times. I managed to do some tidying in the garden while OH looked on.

There is a sea mist here at the moment, but I think it will lift, and be as nice as yesterday. I hope so.

Sorry to have missed you Sue.

Yes I did get to see my daughter and SIL yesterday.
It turned out to be such lovely warm sunny day that I was outside. I was out for hours, and a nurse even fetched my lunch out for me. So it was lunch al fresco :-).
The first real fresh air I've had since before Christmas.
It was so nice to hear the birds singing, and a lawn mower somewhere.

How we take normal sounds for granted, until we are deprived of them.
