Wow Mersey, it really does work.

First of all, I practised and the bathrooms cleaned themselves. Then I had another go and all of the upstairs dusting was done :-D

Now I need to really concentrate so all of downstairs will be dusted as well

Hello,

Sorry about last night Linda, but I suddenly lost WiFi :-( and just couldn't get back.

Anyway, I'm waiting for my transport to Shrewsbury to arrive.

Amanda I am pleased that your daughter eventually got her dog back. What an interesting background he has.
You do know that I have a sick sense of humour, and even suppress laughter at funerals. Well I must confess that on visualising the scene at the vets I had a little giggle.
I'm sure it wasn't funny to you or your daughter, who was obviously very distressed.
Do please excuse my warped sense of humour.

I hope to be back here tomorrow evening, but knowing the transport system here, I may not be back till Friday when somebody wakes up and realises I need bringing back here.
Saturday is the day I go home - at last. How wonderful that will be. Although I think I have to come back to the ward here on Sunday and Monday morning for a special injection I need to have in connection with the procedure I'm having today.

Well I'd better go in case the driver turns up to throw me in the back of some ancient old bone shaker.

Bye for now,

Tecwyn

Good morning, I hope you had pleasant allotment dreams Amanda.

I see Tec didn't reappear, he hasn't opened a message I sent him just before his mysterious disappearance either. I hope he hasn't broken his dongle.

He will be going to Shrewsbury today in any case, so I hope that goes well

I'm glad too Linda :-) Mind you , when they threated to call the police , he did say " yes please , get the police here ! " .

I know what you mean about the quarter pit bull , given some of the things one hears about in the press etc . When I first ever saw him I was , to be honest quite scared of him , especially as the children where so young , however I don't think he has a " bad bone in his body " , he really is quite a scardy cat , he had been abused in the past , I walked towards him once with a tea towel in my hand and wet himself in fear :-( A lot of these dogs that go mad and attack are made that way by their very bad owners :-( :-(

I am glad that your OH didn't get arrested Amanda.

The quarter pit bull is a bit worrying

Good evening Tec , Linda and Mersey :-)

Tec , I used to work with a chap who had one leg , he had lost the other one in a shooting accident when he was a youth , he rode all over town on his trades bike ! He used to make a point of riding up the one steep hill in the town on his way home from work :-0 Really , a most incrediable man .

Linda , glad your home and hope you soon catch up on all your chores .

Well , it's been one hell of a day here ! This morning we went to the vets , myself , middle and youngest daughters and little Isla , the head receptionist was most unpleasent and ridgid , spouting off about " protocol etc " , " no " we can't see the dog , wouldn't answer any questions about " what if the original owner can't be found etc " ? I said as a matter of fact " micochipping is NOT proof of ownership " , she said " I know it isn't but you can't have the dog ! " . Daughter ended up in floods of tears , we left and came home . More tears , then OH said " Right , I'm not having this , I'm going down there "!
Daughters and he left . On their return ( without Buster ) , I was told the vets had called the police , two cars ( three police ) , lights and sirens ! ( I kid you not ) , OH held his ground and said " all I want is for my daughter to be allowed to see her dog " , the police said " let her see him " , poor Buster was straining on the leash to get to her .
Anyway , someone at the practice mentioned there where problems because he had been chipped at a military base near Thetford and they where having trouble getting any information ( why the receptionist hadn't told us that in the first place is beyound me :-| ) . She kept banging on about " protocol " , OH asked for the headoffice contact details .
He phoned Headoffice when he got home , explained it all and then we waited .
About three hours later the vets phoned , finally saying they can't contact the original keeper and that they will put in a new chip , provide paperwork ( so this doesn't ever happen again ) , the cost was minimal , £10 :-D :-D I suspect head receptionist may have had a telling off ?
We have , through all this , discovered that Buster was bought in from the USA originally :-0 and that he is a quarter pit bull :-0
He is delighted to be back with his family and sat in the back of the car , resting his head first on Isla and then on Emily :-)
