Yes I was expecting problems with the bed delivery too - they've messed just about everything else up.
I could write a book about the last 10 weeks :-(

Your OH must be feeling not right to be going to bed now - I think there's football on later - does he know? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 13 Mar 2014 18:52

Excellent news about the bed, I had visions of them messing that up as well

OH is going to bed soon, he is fine but just has a nasty cold

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 13 Mar 2014 18:20

Hello, yes bed has arrived, I was notified by neighbour this afternoon.

The sea fog never really cleared here today, but it wasn;t cold. I sat outside for while.

I don't think I'll be famous :-)

Glad your OH is better now.

Hello Tec, I hope that your bed has arrived

You are going to be famous, lets just hope you don't need an ambulance again.

OH is OK, he just has a bad cold. It has been a glorious day here, not raining

Hello, :-)

Berona I hope that you accepted the invitation to the party on the 8th. Sounds like fun :-) I think it's far better to be at the party, rather than being aggravated by the noise when you live nearby.
If you have to suffer the noise, you might as well be part of it.
That man obviously came to your door because you were pointed out as "the party girl" by your neighbours :-D.

Linda it was very sensible of your OH to go back to bed rather than chomping along in the rain trying to be brave :-D. Hope he is better now.

I e-mailed a letter to the local press grumbling about our pathetic ambulance service.
A reporter came back to me and suggested the article be a story rather than appear on the letters page. She also asked my age, not that I see that has anything to do with it, but I told anyway.
She said it was protocol to invite a comment from the ambulance service.

Ooh Berona, I bet it was you having a wild fling :-D :-D :-D

Make sure you behave this weekend :-)

OH has decided not to go walking as he is too ill, so he is tucked up in bed listening to the radio.

Hello everyone. Tec - I'm so sorry that your transport people let you down again and that you didn't get that op behind you. Hope things go better for you for the remainder of the week.

Amanda - what a shemozzle to get your dog back! Micro-chipping is supposed to make it easy to find their home - not make it more difficult.

I, too, had a difference of opinion with authorities yesterday. New tenants moved into the villa next but one to me at the weekend (1/2 March) and had a party on the Sunday night - until after midnight. Very loud voices, whooping and squealing - then put notes under our doors to say they would be having another one on Saturday 8th. The lady between us in #12, emailed the Council to notify them of this and an inspector came and knocked on my door. I didn't mind telling him what happened until he started quoting times for turning music down/off etc. I thought he was asking me to tell them the rules and suggested one of them might be at home - but he then told me he was instructed to come and talk to the owner of #11 about the loud noise made by my party......MY PARTY!.....No wonder he looked embarrassed! Don't know who made the mistake, but I put him right and directed him to #13. Even in earlier years when we had big parties/bbq's for 21st birthdays, etc., I have never had the authorities called on me! Oh well, I suppose there's a first time for everything! We didn't mind the second party on a Saturday, but I felt the first one was a bit rude, so late on a Sunday night. We can only wait and see what happens.

OH's knee is getting better and the physio has said he probably won't need surgery. The problem is that OH is always busy in the garden or his volunteer work. As he can't do either he is getting bored.

Mersey Report 12 Mar 2014 22:27

SueMaid Report 12 Mar 2014 22:23

Men do that Linda. OH thought it would be a good idea to cut the front lawn because it looked messy. I didn't think it looked too bad and would have waited until our son was home. He wondered why his knee was aching all afternoon :-S
