There isn't much to be done for a virus, I am sure he will be fine

Are you all packed up?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 18:50

Hmm , he doesn't sound very well - why do we get unwell at the weekend?

perhaps he may be better over the weekend, if not you will have to chase him to the docs :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Mar 2014 18:47

Yes he is still coughing, he says he is not so bad, but he went for a long sleep at lunchtime

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 18:44

Hopefully I will get to Dolthingy again.

How is you OH this evening, is he still coughing?

Hello Mersey

You will soon be able to go to Dolthingy again

Tecwyn

You are indeed lucky to have that choice, although there is a butcher in Dolthingy that always has an excellent choice of home made products. The sausages are superb. I always spent money in the butchers whenever I went to Dolthingy

It was very nice. We have three independent butchers all selling a good range of meat products. The one I use is very innovative. They do a large range of sausages all made on the premises, plus lots of different meat products.

Yesterday we had a herb crusted pork joint. It is delicious and only £5, just enough for a midweek meal, they do a similar mini lamb roast and a chicken one

I will win the alteration war, it's my house and my money. Not as if I'm wrecking the house.

Enjoy your well hung steak - you are lucky to have a butcher that sells it :-)

I am off for dinner

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Mar 2014 17:55

It is good that you don't need to come back

I wonder who will win the alteration war :-D

OH is currently cooking well hung steaks so I will be disappearing soon to eat it. I think it is funny in the butchers when the tourists think the well hung meat is off. They only like it bright red

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 17:50

That is a good point Linda, and the only alteration that she apparently doesn't approve of can be viewed from inside :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 17:47

Just been told that I don't have to come back on Sunday after all, as the District Nurse will visit me at home :-).

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Mar 2014 17:47

It would be good to get him to come next week when your daughter is there,so she can go out with him to the parts you can't get to

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 17:35

I'm back :-)

There isn't a pharmacy here, unlike the big hospitals where as you will know you can wait for hours for the medication to go home with.
A doctor signs a prescription and that goes down to the chemist in the town.
I have to come back here on Sunday morning for an injection in my tummy ugh, then the District Nurse will call during the week.
My daughter will collect me in the morning, and I should be able to leave as soon as she arrives.
The nurses going off duty today have all been to see me to say goodbye.

I'm not really concerned about anything at home. It occurred to me that I couldn't get to the washing machine, so would need help there. Eventually when things are altered I will be able to get out there.
I have a list of alterations, and will probably use the same man to do them all.
With the summer coming I will see him as quick as I can. He's almost sure to have his own work in the pipeline.

Hello Linda,

oh "supper" has just arrived, won't be long :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Mar 2014 16:57

I am sure you will work everything out Tec, you won't have that much washing anyway.

The home alteration man is going to be very busy, but it will be worth it to make the house liveable again. Have you got everything arranged for leaving? hanging around waiting for all the prescriptions to come from the pharmacy is usually worst, but maybe it won't apply for your little hospital

Tecwyn Report 14 Mar 2014 16:39

Well the fog never lifted, a really horrid day, and after all that sunshine we had earlier in the week when I was sat in the car park.

The lady from Social Services came. I am having someone come in the morning for 30 mins, and again at 5pm.
At present I can't get to the washing machine, and tumble dryer. They are out in the back porch where I can't go because of the steps. So perhaps my morning lady can put my washing on, and my evening lady can put it in the tumble dryer.

I have some nice ferns - they need to be grown in shade or indoors here because it gets too warm for them in the sun even in winter. I like them in hanging baskets.

I also bought a book on drought resistant plants although we usually have a reasonable amount of rain here where we live. It has a great chapter on succulents which I seem to be developing a passion for :-0
