I hope that your poor aching feet will feel better in the morning Linda,

I am off to my bed now.

Enjoy your day Sue, and Berona, :-)

Sleep well Amanda, and Linda,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

We had some rain here as well Amanda, but it soon dried up.

OH hasn't done anything on the allotment because he has been ill for over a week. he did some jobs at the cinema yesterday, but he didn't feel well today, so he stayed in while I went out

Amanda it would be good to identify the birds around your daughter's garden. I am hoping to be able to get back feeding the birds here, as I always used to.
I like to hear the sheep on the mountain. The other sounds I enjoy here are the waves hitting the beach in the summer when I have the bedroom window open.
I shall miss that now, sleeping downstairs.

I didn't see the film Tec, it is called The Monument Men, OH is going to watch it tomorrow

My feet are aching, it was so hot in the shops. I did get lots of bits and pieces which I needed, plus some other things I wanted :-D

Hello Linda :-)

Tec , I should imagine that the voice of sheep would fit well with the " deep silence " , they make a harmonious sound .
I saw all sorts of bird life on her neighbours feeders , wish I'd taken my OHs spotter scope with me :-|

Hello Linda - I bet you're tired after all that shopping and cinema duties :-)

Hello Sue :-D my OH has been saying he thinks it's going to be a hot summer :-0
We did actually have a nice bit of rain this afternoon ( the first for a few weeks ) it perked the garden up .
The children do seem to have settled in well , it was a pleasure to watch Will and Daisy trott off to get the school bus .
The little ones love the big garden :-D I just hope that she makes this a " forever " home .

Good Evening Lady Linda,

Was it a good film?

Tecwyn Report 18 Mar 2014 22:06

The garden isn't too bad Sue. My daughter and SIL attacked it a few weeks ago, cutting down a lot of the dead stuff. That has made a big difference, and the magnolia is in bloom, and some daffs out in the borders. :-)

Hello Amanda,

Your daughter's house sounds like it's in a nice location. I know what you mean about the deep silence, although we do have to listen to the sheep chorus occasionally. :-D

Hello Amanda - lovely to see you as always :-)

I was reading an article here about how Britain is expecting a very hot summer.

Sounds like you daughter's house is in a lovely quiet area. Nice for the children :-)

Hello Tec and Sue :-)

It is lovely to see that you are setterling in , back at home Tec . I'm sure you will soon have you ramps installed and will be able to get into you garden and potter around .

I had to go and stay at my eldest daughters new house on Sunday night , it is the first time I had seen her new home . It is in such a pleasent , if not a bit remote , location . Fields out the back and just a small cluster of about 25 dwellings . She had to be in town for an appointment at 9.30am and was also expecting someone to come out about the mould around some of the windows . So I offered to sit with the boys whilst she went about her buisness . They both had a late morning nap , so I managed to soak up the " deep silence " that can only be found in rural places , it was a tonic :-)

We have been busy on the allottments and in the green house , this early spring is keeping us on our toes
:-)

I was wondering if you managed to see anything in the garden. Is it looking like a jungle? I should think it wouldn't be too bad as you were in hospital in winter. Are you going to have the garden made over so it is low maintenance. Raised beds might be the go.

Good that you've had some nice Autumn days Sue. Nice quiet time of year when you can still enjoy the garden.

Normally I would have done a lot of pruning by now, the roses, wisteria etc. This year they will all have to take their chances.
I did notice that I have two miniature Japanese flowering cherry's in bloom out on the back yard.

:-D

We are in for a sunny day again. The last two days have been glorious - lots of sun with a cool breeze. Autumn is starting to settle in. The garden is still looking good but I have pruned a lot of the plants and cut the dead flowers off my 'kangaroo paws'. Tomatoes are finished but still getting cucumbers.

Yes it is lovely to have my daughter here. She has been so busy today re-arranging the cupboards in the kitchen (now I'll never find anything) :-D :-D

My brother and his wife are visiting tomorrow, but I want to go for a haircut before he gets here, and daughter wants to do a bit of shopping. I will need to be up early.

You really are getting on with things, Tec. I've no doubt you are enjoying the time spent with your daughter :-)

Glad the delivery went well :-)

Yes the ramps are essential. I have sent a message to a very reliable man in the village that I would like to do the job.
If he is too busy then there are others.

I had a bath lift installed today. It's a very clever gadget :-)
