Good Morning Sue,

Sorry, your post apparently arrived same time as mine and I didn't notice it :-0.

You know I would never ignore you :-D

Yes I will sleep tonight after all that activity. It is so good to be doing normal things again :-)

SueMaid Report 19 Mar 2014 21:24

Is it something I said :-S

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Mar 2014 21:09

Yes, the wall was painted ages ago. She also gave the dining room a fresh coat of paint when it was turned into a bedroom. Looks very nice :-)

Hello everyone :-D

I hardly recognised you, Tec. Sounds like you had a good day - you'll sleep we'll tonight :-)

Linda - how is your OH? Getting over his cold I hope.

You do look smart Tec

Did your daughter paint that wall in the lounge?

Hello deserted thread :-)

I've had a busy day. My daughter took me to get my haircut this morning. It hadn't been cut since before Christmas, so was well overdue. I feel almost human now, if a little draughty around the ears.
Then we went round the supermarket. That was almost a novelty to me after so long :-D

My brother and his OH arrived at lunchtime, so after lunch my brother helped daughter move some furniture around the lounge. Now I have more space to do wheelies :-D

It was a bad crash Amanda, I can't understand why anyone would attempt it in that weather

I am off to bed now to put my feet up. It is weird because I walk all over town without thinking about it, but my feet and legs are really aching today.

Goodnight everyone

Have a good day Sue :-)

I think I shall turn in early tonight , so night night Linda . Try and get a picture of your squirrel drinking :-)

Amanda2003 Report 18 Mar 2014 22:39

Oh Sue :-( that is awfully sad . Yes , eerie is the word I'd use as well and chilling .

This crash hit the headlines as it was a Lord that dies , he was the sixth richest man in Northern Ireland apparently , along with two crew and a work colleague . They really should not have attempted the flight as the fog that night was horrendious . Such a tragic waste of four lives :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Mar 2014 22:39

we have lots of squirrels, so I tend to take no notice of them, it is odd to see one drinking though

It's awful seeing something like that Amanda. We had a helicopter crash up the mountain and my sister passed the truck with the wreckage on board. She said it was eerie. Sadly it was a wedding party on board :-(

Amanda2003 Report 18 Mar 2014 22:35

Linda , I've never actually imagined a squirral having a drink :-0 you'll have to try and catch it on your camera , it sounds like a good subject . I spotted one sitting near a few daffs , in full bloom , it was a fleeting glimpse of the perfect view , as we went by in the car .

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 18 Mar 2014 22:33

Night Tec , sleep well <3

Sue , I'm sure the birds have some sort of routine , they know the places to be and the best times to visit them :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 Mar 2014 22:32

OH seems to know names of the birds in our garden, I just fill the bird bath up. One of the squirrels has been drinking from the bowl for the last two days

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 18 Mar 2014 22:29

I think I'll try and get hold of a bird identification poster , then my daughter could have it on the wall somewhere , so the kids can learn who is who .
I spotted , sparrows , various finches , tits , a robin , blackbird and others .

Maybe you will be able to catch the sound of the waves from down stairs Tec ? or are you now on the opposite side of your house ?

When we went out to daughters ( on Sunday afternoon ) , we passed the place that the helicoptor came down a few days ago , tragically killing the four people on board . It had just been loaded onto a lorry , on the side of the road , it was chilling to actually see it :-(

I was outside thinking that we see birds in the garden early morning that we don't normally see during the day. My son has an excellent book on Australian birds so I can usually identify them when he isn't home.
