Oh Tec - what an awful kerfuffle. I did wonder if it might be easier to leave the filter in but wasn't sure if it may cause problems. Hope you feel so much better after a good nights sleep in your own home.

Well, the good news is that I'm home - whoopee :-) I got home at 3pm.

The bad news is that it didn't work :-0.

What should have been a 20 minute procedure took one and three quarter hours, while the radiologist was fiddling about in my jugular vein trying to get a hook into the filter to remove it.
Eventually he gave up, apologising profusely, but I wasn't sorry as I'd had enough by then, having to stay perfectly still throughout. I don't think I could have taken much more.

Returning to the ward, I was put to bed for six hours while the did 30 minute obs, instead of the usual four hourly. I was alright, but felt rather knocked about.
Now I just have a very sore and bruised neck.

My surgeon who did the leg op came to see me this morning with more apologies, and explained that the filter will have to stay down there, but as I'm on warfarin the risks are reduced (oh good)

Anyway, another fiasco over, and I'm just glad to be home.

Will be back later, thought I'd let you know that I'm back :-)

Just saying hello to everyone. Still warm weather here. A little rain yesterday and must have had a light shower overnight - but to-day is dry with clouds at first and sunshine this afternoon..
Thinking of Tec and hoping he is comfortable - and doesn't try to over-do it when he gets home.

I am just waiting for OH to come back and then we will go to the market. He was putting all the glass in the greenhouse yesterday, but he broke one of the sheets,so he has to go and buy another one. Silly man, but it is a tight fit and putting it under the clips is difficult
