It was very hot and humid yesterday and will be today. We are due a thunderstorm this afternoon then cooler temperatures more in keeping with Autumn.

I'm glad you had a nice visit from your brother and SIL, Tec. I don't think I'd like someone letting themselves into the house - well other than family of course.

Yes Linda, I am coping with everything, so don't really need the daily visits. Will just have the weekly cleaner, as I was before Christmas.

I am hoping the man in the village will come to give me a cost on doing the ramps tomorrow, though goodness knows when he will be able to do them

You sound as if you are coping well Tec. Once you get the alterations done,so you can get to the bins etc, maybe you can just manage with a cleaning lady

Hello Everyone,

It was cold, grey and windy here today, so I lit the fire.

My Home Care lady didn't turn up this morning, but the office phoned this afternoon to apologise. I really didn't matter to me, just as well I wasn't waiting to be got up, washed and dressed. Yesterday a strange lady turned up at 8-50am, when the time arranged is 10am. As I hadn't unlocked the door yet, she didn't ring the bell, but let herself in with the keysafe, so was suddenly standing in the hall,.
making me jump as I hadn't heard her come in.
I was in the kitchen having a quiet cup of coffee. Oh well. I think I may not need them when their six weeks is up.

My brother and SIL turned up. He did a few minor little jobs that needed doing, which was very helpful.
SIL had recovered from her hacking cough.

The nurse came with the last injection :-)

I have nice memories Sue, so that is all that matters. I took my brother with me,he lives nearby, but I think he has only been once since the funeral. I try to go every month

It has been cloudy and cold all day, unfair as other places are having nice weather

It would have been mums birthday today, so I went to the cemetery and washed the memorial down and replaced the flowers with some new ones.

I hope your sister in law wasn't coughing all over you today Tec

Well loathe though I am to abandon you lovely girls, I am off to do a few things. My brother and his wife are coming again tomorrow, and there won't be time in the morning. Everything takes twice as long in a wheelchair :-(
