He did change his books Tec, but he needed help using the automatic machine :-D
I sometimes wonder how he held sown such a high powered job all those years

Tecwyn Report 8 Apr 2014 20:44

I hope that your OH managed to get his library books changed in the end Linda :-D

Berona - It seems that we all get the same international news items on television. Some things are of obvious international interest, like the search for the missing Malaysian airliner. What I don't understand, is the daily intensive coverage of the South African athlete Pistorias murder trial.
Very sad for all concerned, but does it really warrant the leading news item every day? To my mind there are far more important events taking place in the world at the moment.
Rant over :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Apr 2014 17:21

The topics on the news are just about the same here Berona, plus the usual squabbling between the MP's

Oh is now officially doing my head in :-(

This afternoon he decided that he would go to the library to change his books, so I decided to phone a friend when he went out.

So he closed the door and I dialled, next thing he was back in again telling me that he had forgotten his library card. This would be the card which he has only just found again after turning the house upside down for weeks looking for it. where was it all the time ? In his wallet of course!

So he goes off again and immediately comes back because he has forgotten his man purse, he has put it down somewhere but can't find it. So searching commences with me trying to chat at the same time. In the end he left without it

Just before he went out he told me that we were on cinema duty tonight, when I expressed surprise he told me that it was a good job he was here as I would forget my head if it was loose :-|

Anyway after I finished my chat, I looked for his purse, but to no avail, I did find his keys on the work top though. Luckily for him, I wasn't going out.

I also checked the calender and as I thought we are not on cinema duty tonight.

When I let him in, he told me he had found his purse, it was in one of his pockets all the time

Need I say more :-|

Just popping in to say hello before putting the computer to bed for the night. Fine day, after a light shower overnight, with very little sun and a temp of 22. Quite pleasant, really.

Otherwise, nothing to report. Everything going OK here. Our main topics are the sad news about Peaches Geldof, also the trial of Pistorias in S.Africa - and of course, the search for the missing airliner with 239 people on board, now four weeks since last heard of, but a hopeful "ping" sound has been heard.

I am just looking at how many euro's we still have, I will order some more this morning to pick up at the airport as it is happy hour at the Travelux website. i order them through Quidco,so I get cash back from them as well. I am a thrifty little interneter :-D

We like museums and art galleries but we also love going into cathedrals. The architecture is often amazing. I'm sure you will enjoy whatever you decide to do Linda.

There is so much to do Sylvia, so I am having to cut lots of things out of my list. I need to conserve the old feet as well. It is always the case that you could do with longer on a city break, but then we tend to get culture overdose, there are only so many museums and art galleries my mind can cope with on one trip

Hi everyone

that crumble and custard sounded delicious :-)

Linda ............... we were lucky, we had 10 days in Berlin. We were there for a big International meeting ................... daughter and I did a lot of sightseeing while OH was at the meetings.

Then we went to Leipzig for a 4 or 5 day visit ..................... all this was before the Wall came down.

The temperature got up to 16C this afternoon :-0

The weather is so miserable here at the moment. I can't work in the garden and there isn't much to do around the house. Apart from the usual daily jobs everything has been done because of being home.
