They understand why the Balinese make offerings everyday as their stepdad told why they do this and how important it is to be respectful. He is really good with things like that.

I think that would be an excellent idea Sue, and I'm quite envious. :-)

It is so worthwhile to make children aware of other cultures, and religeons sp.
You sent a photo of the temple you mention, and I remember it looks amazing, as they always do in the Far East.
I'm sure that they will enjoy the experience :-)

I think Joel has been here before :-D

I want to take them to the Buddhist temple that is not far from here. It is a beautiful place to visit and the monks are so welcoming. The children have a good understanding of the Hindu religion after being to Bali twice so I think it would be interesting for them to see the temple. What do you think?

That young man sounds years older than he actually is :-D :-D :-D

It will be so much easier for you if the weather is good when you have the children. At least they can spend some time playing outside :-)

Hello Mersey :-D <3

That's a good plan when you know you are going to be busy through the week.

The children are off school for the Easter break for the next two weeks. My SIL is not taking many bookings through the week so OH can rest up. The following week we have the children for 4 days. I hope the weather is fine. Conversation with Joel -

Joel - I hope I can see the Lego movie next week.

Me - does it sound like a good movie?

Joel - my friend says it has lots of wars.

Me - mmmm.....I hope that's ok to watch.

Joel - there are no guns or knives 'cos that would be inappropriate in a kids movie.
:-D :-D

Hello Mersey :-),

Don't forget that it is an hour later where Linda is. Also she is accustomed to bacon butties on Sunday mornings :-D

Glad that OH was sensible and rested. His knee probably appreciated it :-)

I haven't been overdoing it, but have been rather busy for a few days. So I will rest again tomorrow, as I have a busy week ahead of me.

Then you could have sat next to OH as that is what I made him do yesterday :-D. Nothing wrong with a lazy day especially if you're feeling tired. I hope you haven't been overdoing things :-|

Good Morning Sue,

Yes I have had a good day. The weather wasn't that good, dry, but rather cool and grey.
I felt tired today, so did very little, really I was very lazy, and spent a lot of time sitting at my laptop. :-)

You need to be eating well, with all that walking :-D.

I expect you are in bed now as the hour is different.

Thank you Tec, although the years are passing quickly enough without three birthdays on one day :-D

We went to a traditional German restaurant which was recommended by the hotel, it was excellent food of the home cooked variety, the decor was very traditional as well. I am somewhat full now

We are enjoying it Berona, it is a very interesting place. This morning we walked down to the Brandenburg gate, then did a three hour walking tour, fascinating but hard on the feet. We had lunch then walked across the city to the Pergamon museum.

That was a brilliant place to visit, we had an audio tour. It was very different from the usual museums, you can Google it. We had another floor to do, but we couldn't face it. It was 6pm by the time we got back to the hotel, apart from sitting down at lunchtime, we had been on our feet since 10am,so we are glad t be back.

It is time for a rest before we venture out for dinner.

I am leaving champagne and cake on the thread, help yourselves.

Nobody there - but hello to you all, anyway. Sue, we have had a couple of light showers overnight but nowhere near the rainfall you have had. To-day has been overcast and much colder than forecast.

Linda - Hope you are enjoying your stay. I have been to western Germany twice but both times were before the wall came down. First time, my friend and I hitched our way around. Second time, OH and I did a tour and the wall was attacked whilst we were touring. The people started leaving the East and travelled down to Switzzerland and up again to the Western side of the wall. They were travelling in convoy and luckily, our coach was just two days in front of them - or we would have been caught up in it all. It was a bit scary at the time and we were pleased to take a different direction once they reached the point of turning back up to the west. I would love to have seen Berlin and I envy you. Hope you are enjoying it.
