Oh yes Linda I expect lots of hands up.....not.

I just found out something upsetting yesterday. My mother has sold her house and has bought a small villa. All has gone smoothly thanks to my very efficient daughter. My daughter told me that her grandmother has been deciding what furniture she needs and some of it has been sold. However her friend down the road who I went to school with has taken some of the furniture with a promise to give my mother some money. Nothing has been paid for yet. However what is worse is that my daughter has found out that this woman has been 'helping' my mother with her banking. Yesterday my daughter went to visit my mother and found that not only has this woman set up Internet banking on her computer for my mother she has put her name on the account. My daughter tore strips off this woman and then took my mother to the bank only to find the woman had rang the bank asking for her name to be taken off the account.

Good Morning Sue,

It was a pleasure to see the Duchess today - I feel much better about things now, although I know there will be difficult days.

My daughter is coming tomorrow to take me to Shrewsbury, hopefully we may go to visit the Duchess together the following day.

The tasks you mention should be shared around, and not left to the same people all the time, as is frequently the case

I bet you get lots of volunteers Sue :-D

Hello everyone :-D

I'm sure you're exhausted Linda - but it sounds like you had a lovely birthday weekend :-)

I'm so pleased you found the Duchess in better spirits Tec.

I have a meeting to go to this morning. I can just sit and listen at this one as I won't be chairing or taking the minutes for once. I will be bringing it up at the meeting that when the president or secretary are away I would like to see these jobs shared around.

You're not the only one :-( at least yours are typos, my spelling has been awful lately, and I really have to think about some words :-(

Maybe I'm losing it - I blame the medication :-D

I was delighted to get a letter from DVLA to say they were writing to my GP, and surgeon to see if there was any reason that I should not drive
This is positive, and means that they have not dismissed my application automatically..
:-)

I suppose is just depends on the day with the Duchess

I am so glad that things were better for you today. You will just have to take each visit as it comes.

I hope you get your licence soon so you can go more often

Glad that you enjoyed your weekend. It sounded very exciting and interesting.

Nothing exciting. Went back to nursing home today, as DWP wanted to see us together. We have to be assessed as single people now when it comes to certain pensions or benefits we may get in future.
The Duchess was fine today, a different person from Friday. No depression, no tears, seemed quite calm and happy. She had of course forgotten that I was coming.
I left the home feeling much better.

Hello everyone :-)

Before anyone says anything I know it is very late but as I can't sleep I thought I would catch up on the past 2 days :-D

Firstly Linda belated Birthday wishes to you, you really are getting as much in as is humanly possible on your short visit to Berlin and it sound's as though you are having a lovely time :-)

Sue, Joel sounds like a very clever boy, your planned visit to the Buddhist Temple sound's like a good idea for the children :-)

Mersey I'm sorry I missed your croissants, toasted teacakes
crumpets tea and coffee :-(

Tec, what a lovely surprise for you having your little fan's and mother come and visit you. It will be good if the driving licence authority give you the go ahead to drive again, you will be able to visit the Duchess when ever you want as well as get out just for a drive allowing you time away from the house :-)
Slowly but surely you are getting your independance back <3

Hello Berona hope thing's are good with you <3

~~~~~~~ to anyone not mentioned :-)
Well time to try and get some sleep.
Hi Sue, and everyone
Linda ......... very belated Happy Birthdy. I hoep you have had a suitable enjoyable time :-)
I think that railway station was the one where we entered Eastern Germany on our trip ................ having to immediately find somewhere to change our money. before catching the train to Leipzig.
Tec ........ what a lovely surprise for you.
It has been a lovely weekend here ....... sunny and warm ................. so warm that I am wearing summer clothes :-), and am in the middle of doing the "clothes switch".
OH was out in the garden double digging the veggie patch, and trenching ready to plant potatoes and whatever else he decides to sow.
take care everyone
Yes I may do something along those lines.
Fortunately I don't have a lawn to mow. I paved the lawn area the first year we had two Labradors, as the just churned the grass up in the winter. So the garden is easy to get around in the wheelchair to attend to the borders.
I'm off to bed now,
Enjoy your day Sue - hope the sunshine returns,
Hello Berona,
Goodnight,
Tec :-)
