Reset your password then, your old bank card would have expired in any case, it is easy to do.
Sent you a link to do it

I have looked at BBQ covers on E-Bay, but I need Paypal. I had a paypal a/c a very long time ago, but it must have lapsed by now, and even if not, no idea of the password :-D

You are really getting into internet shopping. You should use Ebay, much cheaper than Amazon

Tecwyn Report 20 Apr 2014 22:08

I haven't watched Endeavour right through.

Sorry you had a nasty fall :-0

We do have a local library, still open.

I've just bought a tape player, and headphones on Amazon

My daughter brought the cataloque sp from the auctioneers that are selling some furniture for me on May 1st. It looks quite good, even better on line. I don't care what I get for it, so long as it sells

You can borrow them from the local library if you have such a thing. They will probably do deliveries straight to the home

What a strange ending to Endeavour

I twisted my ankle and bruised my knee, which was annoying because it was just before we went to Berlin and my ankled ached with all the walking

Sorry, in answer to your question. Someone has given her a stack of Agatha Christie tapes.
If she gets into it, I will get her a CD player, and order more audio books on CD

I think the Duchess will be different each time. She was fine the other day, maybe it was because we all turned up together. She was fine when we left.

The paths can very dangerous when wet if covered in algae, apart from looking awful

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Apr 2014 21:39

I am sorry the Duchess was upset Tec, I suppose it will be up and down each time you see her
Are the audio books still on tapes these days? The ones we take out for the library are all on cd's

I am glad your path is clean now, I hope the yard is OK. My new neighbours are not very good at gardening and while I was looking after the dogs the other day, I walked on the wet garden path and came a right cropper because of all the algae

Hello Everyone,

Hello Berona - Hello Linda,

Berona I hope that you managed to get a lie-in on Sunday when there probably wasn't any deliveries.
We live in a remote area, but are well served by all the carriers. I can order anything on-line, and get delivery within two or three days. Even paying shipping, as they call it?, is much cheaper than what it would cost in petrol getting to any of the stores inland.

Linda, thank you for your explanation of how and when Easter was decided. I didn't know about any of that :-)
So thank you for educating me.

Today wasn't very nice weather wise, but the rain didn't arrive until mid afternoon.
My daughter and SIL turned up this morning quite early.
After lunch we all went to visit the Duchess. She was quite tearful when we arrived, and begged to be taken home, which was rather upsetting, but we soon cheered her up, and she soon had her laughing. She was fine by the time we left, and it was so good to see her.
She wants a small tape player to listen to audio books, and a set of headphones, so as not to disturb anyone. I will buy them online.

Before they left, my SIL pressure washed the yellow paving stones in the front garden, washing away all the grime and algae after the winter months. So everything is bright and beautiful out there again.

Happy Easter Berona.

The dates for Easter were decided in 664 by the synod of Whitby. Apparently king Oswui of Northumbria decided that his kingdom would calculate Easter and follow the customs of Rome rather than the customs of Iona.
The Iona lot followed the Celtic traditions, they had one way of calculating Easter, his wife followed the Roman traditions and they had a different way of working out Easter. That meant they had two Easters in the court, so the sensible man gave in to his wife
How they decided when Easter was going to be, I don't know. It is based on some astronomical charts.
OH was chatting to our neighbour, the vicar the other day about it and the vicar couldn't work it out either :-D

I'm very late to-day. I have been doing some online shopping lately and have to get up early each morning and hover around the front of the house, to make sure I hear when a delivery arrives. Since some of the delivery dates are not known, I have to do this every day - then I find myself nodding off later in the morning! On Friday, it was lovely to be able to sleep later, knowing that there would be no delivery on Good Friday, and again on Saturday, although you never know. Some deliveries are made by private contractors, doing a second job, and they can come at any time. However, when I awoke this morning, I decided to read my book, so sat up in bed. Seemed strange to be dong that in the daytime - but I suppose there's a first for everything!.
We have a public holiday again tomorrow (Mon) and another one on Friday, so it's a short week for us this week! Easter is late this year and whilst it is decided by the moon (isn't it?), our ANZAC day is always on 25th April, regardless of what day of the week it falls on. If it falls on a weekend, we get the following Monday as a holiday, but all events concerning ANZAC day are held on 25th as it is the anniversary of the boys landing on Gallipoli in WW1 and is used to honour all men and women who served in all wars. That is the day that they get out the medals and wear them proudly as they march through the streets.
