It is the kids on their way back from school Sue. The people from the estate can't be bothered to walk the extra few yards around the path,so they take a short cut across the grass just outside our hedge

Good Morning Sue, :-)

It was a satisfying day - the garden looks tidier already, but so much I can't get at to weed - just have to stay there.

There were some beautiful orchids in the garden centre on Wednesday, but I am too scared to try them. They are fairly expensive here.

I might try just one later on :-)

We can't do anything about the timing, but it shouldn't be too bad as it takes five hours to get there.

It will be worse when we come back on Thursday evening. It will be after six before my daughter gets back from work. We are going to call and have a meal in Oxford with our son, but it will take ages to get around the M25

How annoying, Linda. Why would anybody do that? Kids I suppose :-(

You have been busy as well Sue.

OH dug up all the daffodils which he had planted outside the hedge to make the verge look nice. For the third year in a row, the natives have kicked the flowers off the second they appeared,so we have reclaimed them and will put them in the garden

Hope you have a good journey down - maybe it's better to leave later, though I suppose you hit the traffic at the other end

Hello you two :-D

What a busy day Tec - but very satisfying.

I repotted my orchids yesterday. I pt them in the same pots but put new soil into the pots and fed them. I also put my tuberous begonias away for the winter.

We are going to London, but can't leave until mid afternoon because we have library books to deliver. We won't be there until mid evening,so I won't be here tomorrow night

The weather doesn't look good here tomorrow, but I have plenty to do indoors. I want to sort out the corner where my fishtank is going.

Well, you can have a lazy day tomorrow

Tecwyn Report 21 Apr 2014 21:47

Hello Linda - Sorry I didn't notice you there :-)

Yes it was a busy day, but so nice to be outside. I managed to get the garden wheelchair out, and tootled about the garden in that. Not so back breaking doing that job from a wheelchair because you're halfway down there already :-D.

I am shattered now :-)

Hello Tec, it sounds as if you have had a busy day, it is good that you can get out again

Hello Everyone, :-)

Been a beautiful warm sunny day here, With no chilly wind for a change. I spent the whole day in the garden, and caught the sun on my face.
A large area of my garden is paved, and I cleaned out the weeds and moss that had grown between the cracks in the paving. Surprising what a difference that makes. Now it just needs the pressure hose over it.

Berona Pleased to see that you had nice dry weather over the Easter holiday.
I have been to Taronga Zoo several times, and as you say, it does make a lovely day out. I expect it has changed now.
The royal baby George seemed to enjoy it :-D

I won't answer that Huia :-D

It has been a glorious day here, really warm in the sun, I don't think it is going to last though

Huia Report 21 Apr 2014 04:24

Berona, I don't think the insurance is more.

My son and daughter are both worrying that they might go the same way as their dad and aunt. I told them they might be lucky and have my genes. Why did they laugh hysterically at that? :-0

Good morning from me in Sydney. Another lovely day started here - a public holiday and I'm pleased to say the entire 4-day weekend has been dry and therefore, although we have had road tragedies, at least not as many as might be if the roads were wet.
Huia. Didnt realise you drive a ute. I had a job in insurance in my younger days and the insurance on a goods-carrying vehicle was much more than on a sedan used for private use only. Do you have this problem?

Yes, we had William and Kate here for the weekend and little George was treated to a trip to the Zoo. I was pleased to see so many people there - must have been record gate takings for the zoo! It is a lovely place to wander around at any time.

Goodnight Linda <3

I think we don't often notice how they deteriorate because we see them often but for people who haven't seen them for awhile it can be shocking. My dad went downhill very quickly. It's sad that your SIL appears to be going the same way :-(

Huia

Huia Report 20 Apr 2014 23:24

When my son saw the photo of his dad he was shocked at how quickly he had deteriorated. I think it is about 6 months since he last saw him.
