Every day is much the same to me too now :-D

Asda deliver to this area now. So I am going to start ordering from them online. I can't expect my daughter to come here every two weeks, especially in the winter months when the weather is bad.

There is nothing like gardening to make you ache, especially if you already have problems. All that bending and stretching muscles not usually used much

Good morning Sue :-)
Do you have anything planned for today ?

Berona hasn't posted for a while, I hope all is ok with her.

Hello you two :-)

Shame it was wet and you couldn't try your ramp but knowing it's there and you can get out will be great.

I forgot about it being Bank holiday weekend :-(
Everyday is just like another for me.
I am suffering the consequences of doing my aunt's back garden on Tuesday, my muscles are telling me I have overdone thing's.

No I won't go shopping with daughter. I would like to, just to have a look round at things I might like, but she will go when the supermarket is busy on Saturday morning.
There will be a lot of visitors around for the Bank Holiday weekend.
It would be awkward in the wheelchair, so I send her with a list of my shopping.

Hello Tec :-)

That was a nice surprise having the Duchess's niece visit you :-)
Will you go shopping with your daughter at the weekend ?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 May 2014 21:53

Hello Diane, :-)

Yes, I'm delighted with the ramp, and means that I can go out without help through the front door.
Today was very wet here, so no going out, or adventures in the garden. Anyway I had two visitors, one expected, one not.
The Duchess's niece phoned to say that she was in the area in connection with her job, and could she call in. I haven't seen her since a family wedding about six years ago, so that was a surprise.
Apparently, she had visited the Duchess in the home while I was in hospital.

My daughter is visiting at the weekend, just for the day I think. She will do a big shop for me, then will go to visit the Duchess.

The weather forecast is supposed to be good for the Bank Holiday weekend.

I think people did look older one generation back, we of course are eternally youthful

It was a pleasant surprise that the shopkeeper took the time and trouble to visit me. It was only that a mutual acquaintance happened to mention to him what had become of me.
I am quite well known in the town by the shopkeepers, many know me by name - the little town is rather like a large village really, and they get to know the difference between the regulars and the summer visitors - it was very nice of him. :-)

I think Uncle/Grandpa is an excellent title. Their Grandpa is very active with the children, and spends time with them, rather like a younger uncle would do.

I loved my Grandad dearly, but I thought he was terribly old. I was amazed in later years to learn that he was only 62 when he died.
We spent a lot of time together, though he never actually played with me.

Are you Aunty grandma?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 30 Apr 2014 22:33

I was just reading back on saw your post on the shop keeper coming to visit you Tec. I'm sure you wouldn't have expected him to visit so it must have been a pleasant surprise.

There is a movie out called "Uncle Grandpa" - Drew has decided that it would be fun to call Grandad by this name. Now the twins are doing the same :-D

I am getting there slowly with the ramp at the back, meanwhile I manage by hopping using the walker for support to get to the wheelchair that is down yet another step

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Apr 2014 22:23

Linda I will use the BBQ cover that was on the scooter to cover the garden wheelchair now.

I don't want a BBQ.

Hello Sue, I thought maybe you had been called away by a phonecall, and hoped not abducted by aliens :-D

Yes the ramp will make a huge difference to me - I can go out anytime I want, without help :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Apr 2014 22:23

Are you getting anywhere with the ramp at the back Tec?

Good morning Sue
