My feet and legs are aching from so much walking on pavements, it is the only way to settle her during the long milk feeds

Hello Amanda and Linda.

I'm pleased that Emily's birthday party went off well. I saw some of the photos and it looks like a good time was had by all.

Linda - this is all very tiring for you. I hope you are taking care of yourself <3

It is the end of another very long day and I am ready for an early night again :-0

Esme had a hospital appointment this morning, as it was in the wrong direction, Eve couldn't go to nursery, so she stayed with me and we played all morning until her mum came back. Eve then went to nursery and I had Esme. While Eve is non stop playing, I would rather do that than look after Esme

Tomorrow morning, I have to look after both of them for a couple of hours, won't that be fun. Thank goodness for Cbeebies to entertain Eve

Amanda2003 Report 7 May 2014 22:14

Hello :-D

I have been a bit busy and not popped in for a few days , so I hope everyone is okay .

It was little Emilys birthday yesterday but the party was on the Bank holiday Monday . I put a tent up in the garden , which worked a treat , as all the little ones took their plates of party food in there , instead of wandering around the house , treading it all into the carpets ....... I wish they ALL had summer birthdays ......lol

Goodnight Tec - sleep tight <3

The quicker the forces are pulled out the better - it is a hiding to nothing, and we should never have got involved in the first place.
I wish your son's friend a safe return at the end of this tour of duty.

The adventure into Afghanistan has cost this country billions on an annual basis, but the real cost is in the loss of life of servicemen and women.
The UK has lost 460 - what a waste, and for what? makes my blood boil.
Rant over :-0

Well I'd better get to bed,
Enjoy your day Sue - hope the weather is kind today
Goodnight,
Tec :-)

That's very sad Tec. I wish they would bring all the troops out of Afghanistan. A ver close friend of my son's is off to Afghanistan next week for his second tour of duty. My son has been through most of his army career with his friend and he is very concerned. History shows it is a no win situation there.

I dare not mention summerhouse again - I may get the "Look" :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 May 2014 22:59

Will look forward to the photo.

How sad - they just showed the return of the bodies of the five young men killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan a few days ago.

Very touching that the population of the little town of Brize Norton, where the landed turned out to pay their respects as the cortages pass through.

I have several pots of succulents but and a big bowl on the front verandah. I shall send you a photo of the big bowl :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 May 2014 22:50

A bowl of succulents would look really nice in the summerhouse, set on a bamboo table :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 6 May 2014 22:47

I hope the orchids reward you with a good show in Seotember.

The bowl of succulents sounds interesting. You should now set about making one for yourself - it's a lovely idea I think. :-)

SueMaid Report 6 May 2014 22:44

I repotted my orchids yesterday - same pots but fresh mix. I'm hoping for a good display I around September.

As it's Mothers Day on Sunday my daughter asked me if I would make up a bowl of succulents for her MIL as she admired one I had made for my daughter. I set to and did that yesterday. I'm so pleased with it I almost kept it for myself :-D

Good Morning Sue,

It is progress Sue, and although it is hard work, I'm sure with practice I will soon get the hang of it - they seemed quite happy with me today.
It will be good to be able to stand up again, and look tidy if I want to wear a suit now and then :-)
