OH has already gone to bed, so I am going to miss her if she is much longer, after all it is 7.30am for her

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2014 22:34

Maybe it's raining, so Sue can't be bothered getting up :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2014 22:33

I'm just hoping they make it the same length as my right leg.

I was going to throw all my left shoes away, but I can wear a pair again when I get another leg. :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 18 May 2014 22:25

That should be interesting, I hope it matches your other leg, for colour and hairiness etc :-D

I am off to Wrexham during the week to the artificial limb centre for the beginning of the fitting and manufacture process - so that should be interesting.
They have been very pleased with my progress using one on the parrallel bars previously.
It's hard work, but worth it in the end.

We watched a little bit of that as well, but soon switched it over

I was watching the Bafta Awards, but it's all about self glorification and how wonderful we all are "Darlings"

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2014 22:08

Yes well - I've seen those same ladies in Amsterdam - Naples - and many other places around the world :-D

The cuisine was fine, it was the "ladies" who were exotic

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2014 22:01

I think I might pass on the exotic cuisine in Fairthingy :-D

Although I am in awe of those brave souls that did venture there - I giggle everytime I think of it :-D

It is good that you can get there, you can treat yourself to a nice lunch sometimes to make a change.

When you get your licence back, I can recommend a nice Indian in Fairthingy :-D

I'm pleased to see that you managed to have a restful day at last Linda.

Yes I can easily get to the village pub on the scooter, just five minutes away.
I can park it in the "Beer Garden" and use my crutches to get into the nearby door to the dining room. I reserved the table that is just inside the door, so it's only a few steps.
The pub is under new management, and they have done a good job in the dining room, and the meal was very nice.
It wasn't always like that there, so I was pleasantly surprised, though I had heard good reports.
The menu is rather limited, but it is only a small village pub. I expect it gets busy in the season, especially at weekends, though it wasn't busy today

Good evening Tec, I am pleased tat you took your friends out. Sunday lunch is always worth going out for

Is the local hostelry in reach of your scooter? It would be good if it was,so you could take yourself off d=for a meal sometimes

It has been glorious here as well, i have had a restful day

Tecwyn Report 18 May 2014 21:40

Hello Everyone, :-)

Been another glorious day here - sunny and warm.

I took two lovely ladies out to lunch today at the local hostelry.
My next door neighbour, and the lady that runs the village shop.
They have both been so helpful and supportive since I came home, and have helped me enormously in so many ways.
Things would have been very different without their help.
It was just a tiny gesture of my appreciation really.
We enjoyed the meal, and it made a change for me to go out for a meal.

This afternoon I just pottered in the garden - ignoring the weeds I can't reach :-D

I may have managed to send Amanda some photo's that she asked for - on the other hand, she may have received a blank e-mail :-D

Only just finding my way around my tablet. I suppose the only way to learn is to play with it. So I shall persevere with it.

Hello Sylvia

We often arrange the bits of our holidays separately, but for this particular hotel which we love, there is only one company in the UK which we can book this hotel through. It never used to be like that, but since it was bought by a German company, the hotel has disappeared from all the other websites. We could book direct with the hotel, but that is far more expensive than booking it as a package. We have never had a problem with the flights being altered before,so I will just have to wait until tomorrow to see what they say.
