Sue was on a world tour - so she's allowed :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 22:34

You should see the size of the case Sue takes with her, she needs two lackeys just to carry it :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 22:33

Good Morning Sue, Hope you are well today :-)

Send us some sunshine -- it's forgotten to stop raining here.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 May 2014 22:30

Hello you two :-)

I will read back before I jump into the conversation :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 22:30

I quite agree - and it wouldn't do for you to be seen by the paparazzi in the same outfits you wore last time you were there :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 22:27

Well, one has to keep up standards

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 22:16

Not more holiday clothes? your excess baggage costs must be astronomic :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 22:14

Well, I did have a hard afternoons shopping, or maybe it is because I have had my haircut and it has sapped my strength

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 22:11

I think that you are burning the candle at both ends, and need to slow down.

You can't expect to be busy all day, and out socialising all night. :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 22:08

I am shattered, I actually went to sleep on the sofa a while back - maybe I am getting old :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 22:05

I am happy to be a bit dated - given today's standards :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 22:01

A bit like you :-D :-D :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 21:58

As I have told you, the boy from the village has moved - and it's your fault :-D

I am having professionals in to do the job, but there is a lot involved.
Could have all new units custom made, but that's very expensive, and anyway I'm happy with what I have, even if it is a bit dated.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 21:50

How can it take a few days just to lower a run of units? You should get some professionals in, not the boy from the village

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 21:34

It poured with rain all day here too. Tomorrow is forecast the same, and the day after that :-(

I am arranging to have the units in the kitchen lowered, including the sink, so that I can reach things easily. It will be very disruptive for a few days, and I will have to manage without a kitchen for a few days, but it will be worth it.

the sun is coming out now :-S

That was really nice of your OH to meet you with the brolly :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 19:03

Hello Sylvia, it is raining here as well. we had a big thunderstorm in London yesterday afternoon, but it soon dried up and was hot again.

When I came up north on the train, it was poring down when I got off the train. Luckily OH was on the platform to meet me with a large brolly because I didn't even have a coat.

I had meals on wheels to do at lunchtime and thankfully it was dry, but quite cold. It has rained all afternoon and is still pouring down now

Hello on yet another lovely day here. Forecast for about another week yet - I hope they are right this time - they are usually wrong!
Noticed you still talking about the canals. I don't remember the exact date, but I went through the Suez and arrived in England one week before the Coronation (on 2nd June, 1953) and I seem to remember us talking about ours being one of the last ships to have gone through it when it was- closed so, I would guess that it was closed some time early in June 1953.

Bye Sue

Have a good day :-)

I obviously passed all the requirements for immigrating ................. but then I didn't take the job, and stayed in the UK :-)
