Supermarket bread is pretty dreadful. The is a new independent baker in Tywyn. I recently had a n uncut loaf from there, and was pleasantly surprised, it was really good for shop bought

It takes over three hours to cook, so I hope to be asleep long before that. If you don't take it out when it beeps, it cools inside the machine, but the steam makes the top sag a little bit and when the water condenses, it makes the bread a bit soggy, it is fine once it goes cold though, still better than the dreadful supermarket mush

You could pop down to rescue it - have you got a timer on it?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 May 2014 20:55

I am watching as well, although I just popped into the kitchen and realised that I had forgotten to make the bread for tomorrow. That would have been a disaster if there was no bread for the bacon butties.

It is in now, but it will be late by the time it is done. I will just have to leave it, so it will go a bit soggy as it cools down, but it will be fine

You can buy a scooter waterproof with just your head sticking out. Covers the whole thing leaving space for hands on the controls, but I don't intend using it much in the rain, so not worth it.

You mustn't be naughty Tec, PC Plod will lock you up

You could have cut a hole in a large plastic bag, poked your head out of it and covered the whole scooter

It has rained all day here too Linda, and it's cold. I couldn't decide whether to light the fire, or put the heating on, so I put the heating on.

I wanted to go to the village shop, but as I would get soaked on my auto-mobile I decided to leave it till the morning, when I think it may be better.

Sat in the car this afternoon running the engine for ten minutes - so tempted to take off in it , but just my luck to get caught.

What a grotty day, it was so cold this afternoon, I actually put the heating on for a while. It has rained for most of the day, but amazingly it stopped for enough time for us to go to the market etc this morning and for me to go to the shops again this afternoon

Still it will water the allotments and fill the water barrels again. OH has just gone down to the allotment in the rain to water the greenhouse

Huia - I can tell you what's around the corner at 78. .. More of the same thing, only with a slowly increasing more intensity - and perhaps something 'new' which will require yet another kind of tablet to be taken with all the others as part of the daily ritual..
I, too, intend to live to be 100.

SueMaid Report 23 May 2014 23:37

If you get a toy boy Huia you must lay down the rules :-D hope your hand is healing well - it looks quite nasty.

Huia

Huia Report 23 May 2014 23:34

Sue, I wasn't really telling you off, merely explaining.

Tec, I hope to live to 100 + :-D

Linda, I have said quite a few times over the past 4 years that I could use a toy boy for such things as changing light bulbs, fastening my necklaces when I am going out, and other similar jobs. But he might get too bossy and try to make me go on long walks to get the exercise I need. :-( :-( :-(

I hit enter instead of submit, get a bit confused with FB.

I've not actually seen it of course, but I suppose it is impressive if you were close up.

Well I am going to bed,

Enjoy your day Sue, and Huia,

Sleep well Linda,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

SueMaid Report 23 May 2014 23:24

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 23:19

You would be the envy of the neighbourhood Sue :-D or not.

Linda, I have to say that it is not the most attractive sculpture I have ever seen - but then I am uncouth :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 May 2014 23:16

The Angel is enormous Tec - I really can't imagine it in my garden :-0

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 May 2014 23:16

She just thought it was a pile of rusty ironl Tec, some people just don't have any culture :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 May 2014 23:14

Sue - Don't you like the Angel of the North? or did you think it was a bit OTT as a garden ornament? :-D

Huia - You are an amazing lady for 78 in all that you do, but all the more reason to be careful, and hopefully see 88
