Things will be much easier getting out to the garden, sometimes the effort was too much that I couldn't be bothered.

It would be nice to have lunch out with my daughter, and spend some quality time with her.
I hope the weather will be good.

I am glad that you can get out the back safely now.

it will be nice to have your daughter to yourself. I hope you are going to take the opportunity to get out and about. I feel a couple of lunches out coming on

My sister is going to phone me back sometime soon, so if I disappear you will know why

Glad that you are all packed and ready to party :-D

It was a beautiful sunny warm day here. My brother and SIL visited. He did the final stage of the ramps that allow me to get from the back porch door, across the yard, and into the garden using the wheelchair. That will save me all that dodgy hopping while clinging onto the walker.
I have been advised to keep hopping to a minimum as it causes trauma to my good leg and weakens the artery.

My daughter is coming tomorrow or Wednesday for a couple of days - she is coming alone, so we can have some fun, and include a visit to the Duchess together.

Well, I am all sorted, some friend are coming for coffee in the morning so I packed this afternoon

To get in the holiday spirit, I have a nice glass of wine, it hasn't been too bad today to say it is a bank holiday, although it is raining now

I will be leaving them, Linda. No point in doing them now.

Sleep well <3

Goodnight Tec, sleep well

I think you should leave the pots until after your holiday Sue. I haven't done my hanging basket or the pots on the patio yet because I have no one to water them while I am away.

I am off to bed as well, so goodnight

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams <3

That's what OH said. I really could have bought so much more.

Tecwyn Report 25 May 2014 23:21

How exciting Sue :-

I shall follow your plans with great interest. I thought I had a lot of pots, but I can't top that.
You could create a wonderful show with that lot :-)

Well I must be off to bed now,
Enjoy your day Sue - washing pots :-D
Sleep well Linda,
Goodnight,
Tec :-)

I am surprised you didn't need a trailer

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 May 2014 23:14

I have such plans :-D I also have a very indulgent OH who just smiled as I went through the pots like a child in a candy shop and then carried them to the car with the young fellow and packed them in safely.

Sue can spend all winter going to the garden centre to buy compost, or she could make her own.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2014 23:08

You will need to dig a huge hole in the garden to get enough soil to fill them

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 May 2014 23:06

Sounds like paradise to me :-D

Old pots are so hard to come by here, and if you find them they are very expensive.

You were not naughty Sue - how could you not buy them. Lucky you.
Your garden will look wonderful next summer, what a good excuse to buy more plants to fill them :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 May 2014 23:02

They are very old pots. We did advise them to get a valuation on some of the old Asian terracotta statues they have as we think they may be worth a lot more than what they were selling them for. Also some of the pots. I didn't buy a statue - we're not keen on big statues for the garden.

I couldn't believe how many pots there were - literally hundreds of all sizes. We also advised them to hang onto some large pots as these will be expensive to replace should they decide in future that they need them.

Tecwyn Report 25 May 2014 22:55

30 POTS???

Whatever are you going to put in them?

Didn't you get a statue as well?

I am so jealous :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 25 May 2014 22:55

Sue, that is silly, you will be spending all day watering like Berona

Did you get a tasteful nude statue for the front garden?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 May 2014 22:53

Well....on FaceBook I'm in a group of buy/sell in our area. A young woman advertised that she had some pots for sale so I contacted her and yesterday evening we went out to have a look. Well she sure did have some pots. She and her partner have bought an old house to renovate and when they cleaned up the back garden they found hundreds of pots and statues. I bought...gulp...around 30 pots :-\
