I do not look like a pirate.

In the space of a couple of weeks Eve has gone from drawing scribbles to recognisable people. Her full body efforts have stick arms with five stick fingers. She even puts eyelashes on them.

It is good to see you Diane, I too was wondering if you were OK

Esme is fast asleep in her high chair. It reclines as she can't sit up yet, so she is comfy. Hopefully that means breakfast will stay put instead of being regurgitated.

We have to walk into town later on a mission for mummy. It is Eve's birthday on Sunday. They are hiring the soft play and having food there afterwards. Mercifully I will be back at home. It is then just a couple of weeks to Esme's bid today. I can't believe she is almost one.

Have a good sleep Liverpool Lass, haven't seen much of you on here lately hope you is all okay?

Of course I am a bit hit and miss but have been keeping up with Esme and Eve and pirates and princesses...

August made a gingerbread dinosaur.. warding off their extinction I believe. Might put it on FB.. we could have a wall of August's and Eve's artistic creations. I absolutely love the drawing she did of her grandmother, started out drawing her as a princess and then had trouble with the glasses and now Linda looks like a pirate.. am sure there is a patch over one eye.

Well away I go my hearties.. Persie of Tywyn.. xx

Hello Sylvia, it is nice to see you if only in passing

I have dried out now, it is a very hot day here.

I took Esme to stay and play this morning, like mother and toddlers. She loved it

Hi Sue, and everyone

we got home earlier today (ie, Monday) from our trip to Montreal and back.

The meeting was great fun, but very tiring! The sessions started at 8 am, and things went on until 8 or 9 pm. Staying in a hotel 15 minutes walk (or 5 minute taxi ride) away meant getting up very early in order to get into the restaurant with plenty of time to allow for breakfast to be ordered, delivered and eaten

The train proved to be a great rest :-)

Now back for a couple of days before leaving to drive north for about a week.

It's good to see that you have all had good weather, and that Sue is enjoying Italy.

I haven;t read back, so I hope that I haven't missed anything important :-)

take care everyone

xx

Tecwyn Report 23 Jun 2014 23:43

Sorry that you got so wet Linda - did you arrive on the doorstep bedraggled? :-D

"A wicked witch" :-D I would pay to see you playing that part, but shouldn't be too difficult to get into type at the crack of dawn :-D

Hello Elizabeth - It is good to talk to you too. I hope that you are well.
Goodnight from a warm but breezy Snowdonia N.Wales.

Trevi Fountain was working okay when I was there. Rather disappointed with it was hoping for someone to come along and sing..

Later I heard "Three Goons in a fountain, which one will the fountain drown?" I have not been the same since.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 Jun 2014 23:18

Your visit reminds me of our visit to Rome Sue, we saw the same places, although the fountain was working

My journey was fine until the last bit It is only about a couple of hundred yards from the bus stop to the house, but the heavens opened and I was drenched by the time I walked from the bus.

Eve was waiting up to see me, she wanted to sleep in my bed with me, but I managed to get her to sleep in her own. Apparently I am going to be a wicked witch when we play tomorrow, it seems they have been watching sleeping beauty.

Hello Sue :-)

You two are a powerhouse of energy - I don't know what you're on, but I wish I had some :-D.
Sounds like you had a wonderful day, but you must be tired now, especially in the heat.
It was hot here also today, well 24 C which is hot to me.
Enjoy your last day tomorrow :-)

SueMaid Report 23 Jun 2014 17:58

Hot hot hot :-0

We had a fabulous day today. We got the shuttle into Rome - it drops us off near the Vatican. We then walked to a bus stop that has "hop on, hop off" buses. We went to see the Trevi Fountain which was closed for year long repairs. Disappointing for those that haven't seen it before. We hopped on the bus again and got off at the Colosseum. We spent some time there before walking over the road to the Roman Forum. We really enjoyed that. Back on the bus to the Vatican where we caught the shuttle back.

Now we are refreshed and hungry
:-D

Ah yes,so I have

I have my babysitting duties before then though. Eve will be four next Sunday,so I have to wrap her present and take it with me tomorrow. I have bought her a new princess dress as the one she has is getting too small
