Hello Sue :-) I hope you are enjoying your hols :-D

I'd rather mow the lawn than cook a dinner :-D

Yes Sue- I can imagine that you would be helpless in laughter at my expense.

If , and when, I fall over, I shall be sure to let you know how long it took me to get up again :-D

Linda I may well put that question to them tomorrow

Hello Tec :-)

Yes , pots are expensive but as you say , a good one should last for many years . OH bought me a small version of the one I got today , for my birthday ( back in Feb ) , there was a very BIG one but I decided it was to large ( and to expensive ) , so I bought the middle sized one this time . It is by the pond with a rather lovely Heuchera in it . I'm just praying it doesn't become Milos newest " victim " :-(

The little hover mower had belonged to my late bother , it was more o less brand new , I had passed it on to my son but he didn't use it , so I've claimed it back :-) We do have a big petrol hover mower , but the lawn had become so lumpy over the years it was a nightmare to use . OH has been strimming the grass for several years . I think you get a better finish with this new device .

I am enlightened Tec, anything I don't like doing is mans work :-D

Hello Amanda :-)

I freely admit I would be laughing hysterically watching you try to get up, Tec :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:44

We live in enlightened times of equality

there is no such thing as "mans work" or women's work :-D

Oh no - not another match going into extra time, no wonder I'm tired :-(

Good Evening Amanda,

Your new pot sounds very nice. There are some lovely pots around now, but so expensive. Though I think probably a good investment as they should last years, instead of crumbling in the frost.

Little flymo's are very useful especially if you don't have acres to mow.

I expect the novelty will soon wear off Linda ......lol

Good evening everyone :-)

It has been a beautiful day here also , blue skies and sunshine , lovely :-)

I went to a garden centre and bought a new large pot , it is square and has slate sides ( like a drystone wall in miniture ) . I also bought plants :-D

I have mowed the lawn ( for the first time in over twenty years ) :-0 OH usually does that job but I've got a new light weight little hover mower . I enjoyed buzzing it about .

Hope everyone is well :-)

Perhaps you should ask that Tec

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:28

I don't suppose I could expect any help from you two if I fell over.

Probably stand there shrieking with laughter, as I struggled like a tortoise to get upright again.

I wonder how you do get up with a wooden leg? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2014 22:24

It is on here as well

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2014 22:22

Well not unless we're there to see you trying to get back up again :-D

The men are also watching football.

Don't be too ambitious with your practicing at first Tec, we don't want you falling over

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:17

Hello Sue,

The local hospital is only 20 minutes away, and a lot more relaxed than where I currently go - so things will be a lot easier.
Plus if they let me bring my leg home, I can practice in my own time.
They suggest 15 minutes twice a day to start with.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:14

I didn't know that you had to wash clothes - what a strange idea :-D

I am watching football - for a change

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2014 22:12

Hello Tec :-) A necessary evil having to go to the wooden leg factory. It would be so much easier if you can be transferred to the local people.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:09

Hello Everyone, :-)

Been a lovely day here to.
My brother and SIL came for the day. Brother has been visiting once a week for several weeks now, usually doing little jobs about the place that I can no longer manage.
Today, instead of finding him a job to do, I took them out to lunch. Where we went is a beautiful location, and as it was such a beautiful day we decided to eat outside taking in the view.
It was all very nice, and they enjoyed their lunch.

Tomorrow I am back to the wooden leg factory. I think I may come home with my leg tomorrow, and be transferred to the local hospital.
I will be pleased if this happens. I was there yesterday, and as it's nearly a four hour round trip on top of what I have to do there, I am finding it a bit tiring.
I could have done without going tomorrow, but each visit is progress.
