That was lucky, Linda :-D

We went to Whitby today - it was warm and sunny. We climbed the 199 steps :-D We then went to Staithes and Saltburn. Very nice :-)

I am not mean Berona, if bashing clothes on a rock is good enough for half the world, it should be good enough for Sue.

I had an interesting experience this morning. I always have a glass of water on my bedside table which I sip through the night. As I am on a bed settee, there is no table, so I put the glass on the floor. When I woke up this morning, I went to get a drink and wondered what the black thing in the glass was. It was my watch with its black leather strap. The watch was at the bottom, it must have fallen off the bed and into the water sometime during the night. Amazingly it is fine, it just looks cleaner

Hello Sue. I imagine you are having a great time - although I do think someone could have given you either an old round bathtub, or at least a bucket, so you could do your washing. Some people are mean, aren't they?

Amanda - watch it.....you could find that mowing the lawn becomes YOUR job - permanently!

Tec - talk of you going to the leg factory conjures up 'mass production'. Please take it slowly and don't over-do it....I'm still holding you to that promise of us doing the tango on our cruise...so do everything you are told to do and then ...get practicing!
Incidentally, I haven't heard of anyone winning anything towards our cruiser for a while. Hope you are all still buying your tickets!

Amanda I mean the crown - just put some gravel over the soil underneath the leaves, so that the crown isn't sitting in damp in the winter months. Should be fine in a pot.

Goodnight Sue. - sleep well,

Night Tec , hope you have a good nights sleep .

I'm waiting to go to bed also Linda :-(

Goodnight - sleep well.

I think striped lawns are a bit "twee" if you know what I mean Amanda, better really to have a natural looking lawn.
We did have a lovely lawn here until the two labs arrived. It was soon wrecked in the first winter. So I paved it all - glad I did now. :-)

Tec , do you mean " damp bottoms " as in the crown or the roots ? I planted the ones I had before straight into the ground , hopefully this one being in a pot means it won't get too wet ?

Amanda, heucheras sp dislike damp bottoms, it's a good idea to put gravel around them, which would look good in a pot

I don't think I could ever get a lined lawn in my wildest dreams Tec . It is the price I pay for having dogs , cats and a gaggle of Grandchildren ......lol

I had a bit of a thing for Hecucheras a few years back but I don't think they like me :-( I only managed to keep one of them alive . This one is called " cherry cola " and has orange coloured leaves , fingers crossed I don't kill it ......lol

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2014 22:58

I hope Milo doesn't "get at" your huechera sp Amanda,

I had a big Flymo at my last house. We had a large lawn there, and I found I could get a nice striped effect with the Flymo. I don't have a lawn here to manage, thank goodness.

I really like Heucheras, Amanda. I have a really nice one called "Coral Bells".
