I thought Brazil would win this match.

at least it's unlikely to go into extra time and keep me up late :-D

You can have syrup on your porridge if you are good

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 22:29

With salt :-S

Brazil has scored again :-0

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Jul 2014 22:29

I don't think that it's actually mandatory Sue :-D

but it would be a shame not to while you are there.

It would also be a shame not to visit a whisky distillery :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Jul 2014 22:28

Of course you have to eat haggis Sue and have porridge for breakfast

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 22:26

We saw what looked like haggis road kill on the side of the road. Is it the law that we have to eat haggis when in Scotland? :-D

We'll have a look at the visitors' centre, Linda.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Jul 2014 22:20

That sounds like a good plan Sue. I hope you get good weather to appreciate the scenery.
Watch out for haggis on the roads though :-D

Go to the Loch Ness visitors centre Sue

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 22:14

Hello Huia - nice to hear from you. Hope you are well :-)

That was fun, Linda.

Tec - we managed to get a booklet with some coach tours so we worked out a route going by one of the tours starting at Loch Lomond and finishing at Loch Ness before going back to Glasgow. A long trip but it should be good.

Hello Huia, your son is going to be busy :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Jul 2014 22:13

Good Morning Huia,

Hope your weather improves so that you can get some jobs done outside while your son is visiting.
My daughter and SIL are visiting tomorrow. I always seem to have jobs for them these days.

Huia

Huia Report 4 Jul 2014 22:06

We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday. This morning it is raining, just because my son is coming up from Rotorua to do some jobs for me, most of which involves using his chainsaw to cut down some of the shrubbery lining our drive. I think the weatherman said it would be fine again tomorrow though, so he can get up at sunrise and get the job done.

I do have a few small jobs he can do inside this afternoon, checking/changing the batteries on the smoke detectors, installing a new light bulb, checking the tyre pressure on my wagon (I can never seem to do that).

Sounds like good fun Linda, hope you find a good vantage point.

Fantastic promotion and publicity for Yorkshire

I did try to answer that call Sue, but it cut it off and says you are offline

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 21:53

That's a good temperature for a day like tomorrow. Hope it stays nice.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Jul 2014 21:52

Sue I was amazed to see the yellow bicycle on the car - we are a long way from Yorkshire here.

I hope the weather clears up for you tomorrow.
I have never been to Scotland, well I did at apparently three months old, but that doesn't count :-D

Are you heading for anywhere special? or just following your nose?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Jul 2014 21:48

It rained here this afternoon, but it is passing over and apart from a few showers it should be fine tomorrow, only about twenty but that is better than being too hot

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 21:47

What a fun weekend for you, Linda :-) what a shame we won't be there ;-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Jul 2014 21:45

They say two million people are going to be lining the route over the two days. Goodness knows how they are all going to fit in.

There are yellow painted bicycles everywhere and tiny yellow, green and white knitted jumpers strung between the lamp posts. It will be interesting, but it is going to be a long day. They want to go and watch on Sunday as well

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Jul 2014 21:44

Where else would you go with a yellow bicycle?

It has been raining on and off all day in Glasgow but now the skies seem to be clearing. We had a walk into the city centre and back and it was very pleasant on the way back as the sun was out.

Now we are watching the football :-)
