Oh well, if you are not going to introduce me :-|

Hello, :-)

Another lovely day. Hot and sunny with no wind.

I pottered about the garden. Everything has grown so much, but unfortunately I can't get to cut things down to size - leave it now until the Autumn when someone will see to it for me.

Sue I'm glad that you had a lovely day with friends. Did you go anywhere exciting?

Diane - I am sorry to see that you are leaving. Hopefully one day you may return. In the meantime take care of yourself. I know that things are not good with you at the moment, and I hope very much that things will improve with time - take care of yourself.

Persie it's not called "Windy Wellington" for nothing. I distinctly remember being nearly blown down the hill there.
Glad that you enjoyed the birthday party. That is a long time to know someone.

Linda I hope you had a nice day too

One of my friends was asking me how the storms we have had lately affected us, they really bore the brunt of it in Northland. We are in a bit of a dip and whilst we can see the sky tower from the front gate (at least we have one now and a picket fence) the wind seems to sail over the top of us we can hear it but are sort of sheltered so we don't get hit that badly.

Whereas when we are in Wellington you can walk around at a 30 to 45 degree angle trying to stay upright.. the wind there really knocks your socks off.

Hello Persie :-) glad you had a good day catching up with your friends .

I am going to have to log off I think . The thunder and lightening is the worst I've ever heard . Every car alarm in the area is going off . Meg has just got back in , reporting that her car was rocking from side to side !! on top of that one of the dogs is going into melt down ( thankfully our old Milo is deaf as a post and blissfully unaware ) .

Best wishes for Esme's birthday.. and yes that time has gone quickly... does seem to do that as one gets older.

We went to a birthday of a friend of mine, yesterday had a really nice time and caught up with a few of our mutual friends and one of her sons who I have not seen in ages.. I have known her since I was about 13 and her husband.. well I was nine when I first met him and I was this annoying child when he was a big boy at high school trying to do his homework.

The rain set in here in the afternoon as we travelled north to the party the further north we got the worse it became but it just eased off enough for us to get in the daughter's house.

Do hope this licence thing gets sorted PDQ Tec.. I would be "Irate mum of Sandringham." if it happened to me. xx

Love to all of your family Amanda, you have really outdone us all in the grandparent stakes.

Happy birthday to Esme :-D <3 , it is difficult to realise that she is already a year old ! the time has certainly flown by .

We are in the throws of a fantastic storm at the moment , terrific lightening and very loud thunder :-0 Meg and her chap have gone off in her car to view the lightening over the sea .

Thank you all for the congratulations :-D these two will bring the total to ten :-0 I am in complete awe of your ancestors Berona , 0ne of 88 first cousins .....respect !!

I have Bella here tonight and am hoping she doesn't get awoken by the thunder . She was at the beach with her Mum and other Nanny today , so is out for the count at the moment .

It is VERY hot here tonight .

Sue , I hope you've managed to sort out your travel plans okay .

Well Milo is giving me the look - I know his mother goes to bed much earlier than this, so I'd better move myself.

Goodnight Linda, and Sue - sleep well,

Tec :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Jul 2014 23:09

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Jul 2014 22:59

well mannered,

funny, and brought his own food, bed etc :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Jul 2014 22:54

She did indeed. I forgot you were having a house guest. I hope he has behaved well

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 19 Jul 2014 22:52

It was quite a pleasant evening here, even a glimpse of the sun.

I meandered around the garden with Milo who is my house guest for the weekend.

Everything looked refreshed after all the heat of recent days.

Hope Sue got sorted with her hotel
