They could also be thinking we have gifts for them....which we do of course :-D

Your children, and especially the grand children, will have missed you both very much I'm sure.
You'll get such a welcome home :-D

We are going to sort out our suitcases and pack some breakables that we bought for family. In the afternoon we are going to see a couple of family members to say our goodbyes.

I've just been 'talking' to my daughter. She said the children are getting excited now and counting the number of sleeps until we get home.

I dislike stoats. They are killers, and will take small mammals, like baby rabbits etc, also wrecking bird nests to get at the eggs.
We have wild mink around here, they are nasty like stoats too.

The mink escaped ages ago from mink farms where they were bred for their coats. Now they have colonised in this part of Wales, and other areas throughout the UK.

Tec - if Eve grows up to be a butterfly she will grow her own wings.

Earlier this year she kept saying she wanted to be an astronaut, so a butterfly is a bit of a change of direction

We've been to nursery graduations Linda - they are fun. Aimee said she wanted to be Barbie when she grows up and Joel said a policeman :-D

We liked the reconstruction of the monk's cell too. I would be quite comfortable living there with my little garden and my meals pushed through the shute. Not much sleep though.

I hope Eve's graduation ceremony goes well. There should be some great answers as to what they want to be :-D.
Eve would make a beautiful butterfly.
Grandma should get busy making wings - then they can be converted for when Eve is an angel in the Christmas nativity play :-D

Hello Tec - I didn't like the look of the stoats. They were slinky and sly looking :-). They didn't last long in the open.

I like Mount Grace Sue. I think it is interesting the way they have reconstructed ,d the monks cell

It is very hot tonight even though the window is still open.

Tomorrow is a special day, it is Eve's graduation ceremony from nursery. Apparently they even have a little stage out in the garden. They have to go up in turn and they get a certificate and a teddy bear. They ask them what they want to be when they grow up and which school they are going to. Eve has been practicing, she says she wants to be a butterfly, but can't pronounce her school. Afterwards it is afternoon tea. It should be fun

It is too hot now - but I'm not complaining. I will look back on this in the winter months.
As it is so hot I couldn't go outside, so stayed in the house doing a few jobs, with all the doors and windows open. Cooled off now a bit, and a breeze has got up.

Linda I hope the blender you speak of will make things easier for little Esme's feeding routine, without the liquid formula.

Sue you had another interesting day. The Priory sounds very interesting. Lucky to see stoats, the are usually very secretive, coming out at night. I have seen them run across road at night here. Vicious little creatures though.

Berona - I don't know whatever you mean- me cynical - never. lol.
No I haven't written any letters - thinking about it.

much cooler weather today, and periods of rain :-)

It's about 17 / 18C outside .............. which is a huge change from the 30C of the last 2 weeks.


I hope it soon cools down for you guys!!


although I must say that the hot weather is expected to be back here by the weekend

Hello all :-D

It has been very hot here too. We went to have a look at the Mount Grace Priory today. It is very interesting looking around the ruins behind the very grand manor house. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept by the National Trust. Loads of bees and butterflies - we even saw some stoats running around the gardens.
