Hello Sue, :-)

So what mischief are you two up to at the weekend then? :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Jul 2014 22:37

Good Evening, Morning, Afternoon, :-)

Oh dear - it is so hot. We were the hottest place in Wales today, at 30C.
I have had to shut the doors and windows as it went dark. Otherwise the house will be inundated with midges and flies.
They have been disturbing the sheep today, and we always get lots of flies when that happens.

Persie - I always wanted to cross Canada by train, through the Rockies, but doubt it will happen now.
Be lucky to cross Wales by mobility scooter as things stand :-(

Linda I expect that you are safely home by now. The Graduation Ceremony sounds great, and I hope Eve enjoyed herself :-)

It's going to be a wonderful weekend :-D

I am on the train on the way back home.

Eve's graduation was so cute, they even had little red gowns and mortar boards for them to wear. They got presented with a scroll and a little teddy dressed in a graduation gown

I am looking forward to the weekend which is going to be extra special

OH's cousin has either trotted off to Canada or going shortly.. We have one remaining sister of five sisters, she lives in Calgary. OH's mum was the eldest, then the cousin who is going to Canada's mother was next.

The one remaining is starting to get like her eldest sister in the forgetful department. Her writing is also getting worse.

We will probably be going to the Eastern side of Canada.. and maybe sometime I will get to do the train through the Rockies which is something I have always wanted to do.. in the meantime will just have to be happy going to Taumaranui by car.. There is a song about the place Taumaranui on the main Trunk Line.

hope you do a side trip up to Canada, Persie :-)

the opening of the Games does not seem to be on our TV ....................... all I heard was that I could watch it live on my computer at cbcsports.ca

I could be proved wrong ..................... but I don't have any TV guide to check.

I forgot to watch opening ceremony, my daughter watched and thought the dancing teacakes were appropriate.. we have too much going on at our place with the builders.. yesterday it was electrician, builders and the carpet layer returning with a new piece of carpet with the pattern going the right way after sending the chap back last week..

Oh dear the sun has disappeared and it looks like rain is on its way again.

We are off to Ohura tomorrow.. near Taumarunui.. not many people say they are going there.. not the most exciting place in the country. Ohura real estate would be the cheapest in the country probably... remember a chap complaining years ago about his rates on a piece of land there and that he couldn't sell it and not worth building on and yet he had to pay quite a bit in rates. I think someone ending up buying up heaps of houses in the hope that they could start some touristy thing but don't think that worked.

Are you stopping anywhere on the way home Sue? When (I say when cause who knows) we go to UK we will be stopping in the States, and then on and then do Europe from UK.

He's no spring chicken now :-D. Becoming King must seem like a dream now.

I must go off to bed as I am tired.

Goodnight Tec <3

Yes I also hope the Queen goes on for a long time yet.

Charles will be an old man by then :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 23 Jul 2014 23:09

Prince Philip looks very well considering his age as does the Queen. She will live as long as her mother did - I hope.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Jul 2014 23:06

If the Queen is declaring the Games Open at the end of all this, she must be very tired.

I sometimes think they expect too much of her, in view of her age.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Jul 2014 23:02

Not a lot - I would imagine,

probably Switzerland -or Barbados :-D

I'm not a Rod Stewart fan. I have to wonder how often he is in Glasgow :-)
