Hello everyone :-D

Can't stay to chat this morning. It's Book Week and the children have a book parade. They dress up as their favourite characters and walk around carrying their book while we sit in the cold and try to look enthusiastic :-D

Talk later <3

Sounds like a well-attended memorial, Huia. You and Phil must be well respected to have had so many there. I'm pleased it went off well and you sound like you are happy with it too. That's good to know.

Huia .....

that sounds like a wonderful well-attended event for Phil

It is always so nice to hear lovely things about the ones we love.

Phil was obviously well-respected by his peers.

Hi Sue, and everyone

Tec is very understanding, isn't he :-)

Linda ....... sorry to hear the whole household is now down with the dread lurgy. I hope you get better quickly.

I've heard that the UK is having some cold weather

It is cooler here ................... around 20 / 22C in the daytime ........ and so much more pleasant that that hot weather.

The nights are still around 16/17C though ........... so I have the 2 fans on all night.

It's good that you are so understanding Tec :-D

Goodnight Tec - sleep well <3

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 23:50

Well I have to go to bed now,

Enjoy the day Sue, hope the weather's fine,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 23:36

I bet you had to when the children were little :-D

OK - so you've put some washing on, now you're exhausted :-D

time to read a good book :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Aug 2014 23:31

You assumed wrong Tec :-D

I've put some washing in the machine - I can't be expected to cater to the household as well :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 23:26

Well I just assumed you got up early to cook them both a full English breakfast every day :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Aug 2014 23:21

Surely you don't think I make coffee and breakfast for two grown men in the mornings :-0 :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 23:20

Well you have to understand that your son is so fired with enthusiasm that he feels obliged to share it with you :-D in detail.

You should have put a "Do Not Disturb" notice outside the bedroom door - they would have survived :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Aug 2014 23:15

I wouldn't mind what he does if he didn't discuss it in detail with us. Usually when we are having a meal he will tell us in detail about dissecting some poor animal :-(

I could have easily stayed in bed all morning :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 23:07

So you'll all be busy at the weekend then.

What a fascinating occupation your son has. :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Aug 2014 23:04

We are hoping for better weather on the weekend. It is Drew's birthday and Joel has his presentation day on Sunday for his footy club. Also our son has a "fact finding mission" down the coast for Uni. Although he won't be camping there will be much foraging in the bush day and night. Probably looking for animal poo :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 22:59

Good Morning Sue :-)

Yes I'm well thankyou - you were very lucky with the weather while you were here.

It is unusually cold for August, but forecast to get warmer at the weekend when the wind changes direction. Though still showery.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 20 Aug 2014 22:53

Oh dear - I've missed Linda again :-(

I hope you are well Tec - such a change in weather. I think we must have been very lucky to have had such nice weather.

We had some sunshine yesterday but it didn't have a lot of warmth to it. I notice it rained overnight but it seems quite fine today - hopefully it will stay that way.

Goodnight Linda, sleep well. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 20 Aug 2014 22:07

I used to do that when the kids were younger, but not anymore thank goodness.

I know it is early but I am going to go to sleep now, so I will say goodnight

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 20 Aug 2014 22:05

You've got no sense of adventure :-D

Nothing like waking at dawn to the dawn chorus - chomping across wet grass to the loos avoiding the cow pats :-D

wonderful :-)

I don't fancy camping, 5 star hotels are more like it these days
