I think it would take two men to get it downstairs. It has to get passed two stairlifts, just to complicate matters :-(

I tried to join Freecycle ages ago, but my application was refused :-D :-D :-D

What a put down :-D I only wanted to give stuff away, and it's not all rubbish here

People are always grateful for things. I am sure she would use her account to put it on for you. You would just have to get someone to help your daughter to get it downstairs.

I could do that. The mattress is spotlessly clean, and only two years old.
Shame to dump it really, as it was a very expensive one.

Someone maybe could use it. Personally I wouldn't have a second hand mattress, but if someone is in need.
I also have a freezer chest to get rid off.

Sue next door got rid of a washing machine and tumble dryer on Freecycle today.

If it is in good condition why don't you give it away on freecycle

Goodness me - give me a chance :-(

I've only done one wall, in between sorting clothes. I can't get to the other walls without moving furniture, and I don't know if I can'

My daughter is coming over on Wednesday, staying overnight, so I will ask her to help me.

It will make all the difference when the bed has gone, but I have to arrange with the council to take that away, and then it's got to be taken downstairs and out into the street.
The mattress is very heavy as it's a deep pocket sprung.

Oh dear - Typical for these things to be over a long weekend. I hope that she feels better soon.

I hope that you don't catch that too.

My daughter is feeling very ill, she thinks she has tonsillitis, but of course it is Sunday and Bank Holiday tomorrow so she cant do anything about it

Tecwyn

Only about half an hour, but I have to leave at mid day instead of late afternoon,so I have less time at home

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 24 Aug 2014 22:16

I won't bother going if it's very wet - as I have to go at snails pace :-(

Does it add much more time to your journey going via York?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 24 Aug 2014 22:14

shame you forgot to go to the art exhibition, it will probably be too wet tomorrow

I have to leave earlier tomorrow because I couldn't get a ticket on my usual train. I have to go to York and change instead
