Hello Amanda, I am sorry to hear you have been having trouble as well. It is a pity people can't behave better.

OH is considering giving the allotment up because it is so much work and he would rather put the time into the garden here. It gets neglected, especially this year when I have been away all summer, it is a real mess

Good evening Tec and Linda , I haven't read back very far so I hope that everyone is getting along okay .

Linda , sorry to hear that you have been having trouble on your plot :-( it does sound as if the culprit was after food ( which , in itself is quite alarming ! ) , I hope they don't come back after the tools .

Tec , I hope your Grandaughter has friends that are a similar size to her :-S and that her suitcase is soon re-united with her .

We had a bit more bother with our allotment a few days ago . Someone has burnt a hole in our poly tunnel ( about 10 inches round ) we have managed to tape it up okay . Also , the chap opposite our plots is on holiday , he keeps hens too and I've been looking after them in his absence . Most of them are in a locked area but he has one poor little half blind bird that he keeps seperate from the others , she had been let out !! thankfully we found her wandering around on his plot . I've secured her door with tiewraps ( which I have to cut with pincers each day and replace ) . We know it was three local kids ;-) and would you believe it , the nasty bloke had made it very clear that he was going away for a few days !! all very convieniant in my opinion :-|

Good Morning Sue,

Glad to see you all had a lovely day yesterday, with all the dads being spoilt :-D

Are you going to play in the sunshine today? :-D

Good morning Sue, I am glad the menfolk enjoyed their day.

The house is very quiet, but I am used to him being away so it is fine

Hello everyone - lovely sunny morning here :-D

Young love - so painful at times :-(

Are you enjoying the house to yourself Linda? I'm sorry there has been problems at the allotment. I hope they don't come back. Strange that they left the food behind.

OH had a lovely Fathers' Day. I made a nice lunch for everyone and it was sunny enough for the children to play outside. SIL was also spoilt by the children which is lovely for him.

Yes it depends where the work is.

My daughter met her now OH at Uni, but they both went to work in London after graduating.
Then they bought a flat together, then got married.

It is once the course is over and they want to get jobs that the problem comes

Well, it's lasted over two years, so looks pretty serious :-D and she is planning to go to France on visits when possible.
Not that she's keen or anything

:-D

Oh dear, long distance relationships are difficult, but she is young so I am sure there will be plenty of other young men around. Of course if he is "the one", they will get through it

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 22:17

I expect they'll have fun in any event.

Grand daughter was in Northern Spain a few weeks ago with her boyfriend. He speaks fluent Spanish.
He also speaks Mandarin Chinese, and French.
She is upset because he is going to Toulouse for a year to teach English in a French college.
Could be worse, he could be going to China :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2014 22:10

I am sure that her friends will have taken far too many clothes, so will have plenty to share

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 22:09

I hope they don't come back for the tools as well - they are expensive to replace, and never as good as old ones somehow

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 22:06

It could have been worse - grand daughter could have arrived in New York, and her luggage in Majorca :-D
There are three girls together, so maybe they can share some things. They say the case will arrive on Tuesday, having had a return trip across the Atlantic.

If they just wanted the food, they needn't have broken into the shed. I hope they don't come back and take the tools. I brought all the strings of onions back here to dry in the garage

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2014 22:02

Oh dear, I hope your granddaughter can get her case back quickly. OH's case went on a world tour when we went to Croatia a few years ago. It took about four days to get it back

Hello :-)

What a lovely day it's been. It was 23 C here this afternoon. I went for short drive to a shop for a few things I needed.
Then I sat in a layby overlooking the sea, and the lovely view across Cardigan Bay towards the Peninsular.
Went home and got ready for all my visitors tomorrow.

My grand daughter went to Majorca with friends yesterday, unfortunately her luggage went to New York apparently :-( :-D

Berona I'm very pleased that your new spectacles are suiting you - must be a relief to actually see where you are going.
So now you can resume dance practice :-D as I am :-D
Bet you've never tangoed with a one legged man before :-D - take care.

Linda how strange that someone broke into the shed, but took nothing. As you say, probably disturbed.
Sad to think though that they may have been looking for food.
