Nobody around to talk to at this time. I just want to ay 'hello' to all.
Amanda - you don't do things by halves, do you? I do hope that Meg is as well as can be and that all goes well for her. As for you - I can see your OH being kept busy for many years yet, making birthday cakes.

Looks like Spring may be here to stay. Tomorrow is expected to reach 24c with just an occasional shower (I suppose we won't see any of it here) and none of it heavy enough to water the plants.

Tec - hope you are nejoying the company of your family. I suppose they all want to see how you are getting on - and I hope you make use of them too, wherever you can. I'm sure they will be glad to help do things you no longer find easy to do.

Twins :-D. Hope all goes well for Megan <3

I'm sorry to hear that your nephew's marriage is in trouble, Tec. They are surely past the most difficult part. Very sad for the triplets :-(

Oh I am sorry to hear that you Nephews marriage is in trouble :-( It is a shame they can't tough it out for awhile longer , surely the little ones ae due to begin school before much longer , everything changes then ( a bit anyway ) .

Middle daughters baby is due just before christmas and these two will probably make an appearance in mid February , so they will be a bit like triplets :-S I'm certainly NOT going to be babysitting all three single handed :-0

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2014 23:23

That is sad Tec I hope they can get through it for the sake of the children

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 23:21

Amanda, your daughter could have had a bigger shock - my nephew and his OH had triplets four years ago :-D but that was after IVF treatment.

They are doing very well apparently. Sadly that marriage is in trouble, their mother is finding it all too much, though she has had fantastic support from her OH.
very sad, especially for the children who may stay with their father.

Amanda2003 Report 7 Sep 2014 23:17

Thank you Linda :-) twins don't run in my family but the babies paternal Grandfather ( who sadly only passed away a couple of weeks ago , just before the news broke , was a twin ) . I have everything crossed that it all goes well .

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2014 23:14

We wouldn't really want a veg patch in the garden Amanda. We have had one in other houses, where they have been out of site, but that isn't possible here.

Twins, goodness, they obviously run in your family. I hope things will go well for her

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 23:13

There aren't any allotments around here - possibly because there is no council owned land available.

I'm glad to see that my garden isn't the only one looking sad. :-D

Amanda2003 Report 7 Sep 2014 23:09

Hello Sue :-) Yes , a nuisence and mindless unfortunatly :-( we found the place they got in and OH was provided with barbed wire by the site sectrery to make it more secure . I just hope some poor cat doesn't get hurt by the new obstruction .

Linda , could your OH have a veg and fruit patch in the home garden ?

One other piece of news , our Meg went for her first scan last week and came back in a state of shock ......twins !! Her first baby will be identical twins :-0 :-0 Obviously , after how things went for my eldest daughter last year , I am now in a constant of worry .

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Sep 2014 23:06

I will still make the chutneys Sue.at this time of year the red tomatoes are cheap to buy in the market. I will miss the Raspberries because they are expensive, but for the rest of the veg,it wouldn't matter

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 7 Sep 2014 23:02

Hello Amanda - lovely to see you. What a nuisance when some people just can't leave people's property and possessions alone :-(

If your OH gives up the allotment you won't be making anymore jams or chutneys Linda :-(

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 7 Sep 2014 23:01

Linda , I expect it would be a wrench for your OH to give up the allotment but they do take so much time and as you say , it means that other jobs don't get done :-( my garden at home has gone over to the wild somewhat , we have spent so much time at the allotments that by the time I get back here I'm to worn out to tend the home garden .

Tec , I hope your Grandaughter manages okay in her friends outfits and doesn't end up looking like a little match girl ......lol
It sounds as if you are in for a busy time with all the family visitors , I hope you all have a lovely time :-)

Tecwyn Report 7 Sep 2014 22:55

Hello Amanda :-)

My grand daughter is quite petite, and I imagine her friends must be bigger girls - never mind, they'll manage somehow. :-D

How aggravating to have a hole burnt in the poly tunnel, probably a cigarette.
Good job you rescued the one eyed hen, poor thing.
It is very convenient that your loony friend is away :-0

I have a house full of relatives arriving tomorrow, a brother, a sister from Essex, and their OHs. :-D
