Hello Linda if you are still around.
Good that Esme was ok at nursery, no chance of you sneaking off then :-D
Of course Eve is in big school mode now - why wouldn't she be? :-D

Hello back :-D
I am shattered,so won't be staying long.
Esme was fine at nursery, she kept her eyes on me though to make sure I was there.
Eve enjoyed school again this morning and spent this afternoon drawing and playing lots of phonic games on my iPad. She is obviously in big girl school mode now

Hello, :-)
Been another lovely warm sunny day - Indian Summer.
Hello Sylvia,
My sister and her OH are returning to visit me on Thursday. Just the two of them, so things will be less hectic. I cope better with two visitors at a time better than four. :-)

Hi Sue, and everyone
Linda was quite correct ............... I was at afternoon coffee :-D
then we had to go to the recycling places ............3 of them!
The first one is a fairly new provincially organised for-profit and was an "on the chance that" .............. but it didn't take the styrofoam packaging we offered.
So onto the second one, also provincially run, but which did take styrofoam packaging, as well as milk cartons.
Then onto the city-run one to dump off the cardboard boxes that the styrofoam packaging came in :-)
Sue ........ that does sound bad for your OH's car. I guess it might be a matter of balancing the cost of repairs against the value of the car and the cost of a "new" one.
Linda ............... it sounds as though it will really be a hard week for you. Your daughter is really lucky that she has you to call on!
Amanda ........... sorry to hear about the allotment problems. But what an exciting surprise about Meg's pregnancy. I hope all goes well for her.
Tec ................. I'm glad that it was a lovely day for your visitors. Will you see your sister and her OH again before they leave Wales?
Hi Berona, when you appear :-)
it was a strange day here ................... cloudy and felt quite chilly this morning, at about 16C. But then the sun came out, and it was about 20/21C by early afternoon!
take care everyone
s xx

That does sound like hard work :-(. Goodnight Linda <3
Grandparents' Day is only the twins' year at school. It's part of their work regarding people in their family. Joel told me that he has to 'respect' old people like me and Grandad :-D

Sounds like a new car is called for Sue
I am glad you had such a lovely day Tec.Dont you try to move those wardrobes on your own
I will be with Esme all the time she is at nursery Sue, trying to keep in the background as much as possible. If she settles, next week I will try to leave her for half an hour, but I bet she cries. I will have to be there to supervise the meals, but will let her carer do them. We will then have to come back on the bus which involves a change of buses. Then once I get back, Eve will be here as she is only doing mornings at school for the first two weeks, so I will have both of them to look after for the afternoon. So it is going to be harder not easier

I think your OH is angling for a new Porche :-D
"Grandparents Day" I've never heard of that, but I think it's wonderful that grandparents are often included in school events, and I notice that you do attend when you can if there's something going on.
My parents never came to school, never mind grandparents :-D

OH is not happy :-( but as he said it's an old car so he doesn't think it warrants a lot of money spent on it. We'll see.
Lovely sunny morning. I'm off to the twin's school today for Granparent's Day. We will be spoiled with a concert and morning tea :-D

Good Morning Sue, :-)
Sorry that OHs car is refusing to co-operate. I suppose he could always jump onto the scooter :-D Seriously, I hope it can be fixed without too much expense involved.

Hello friends :-D
I'm so glad you had a lovely day with your family, Tec.
Linda - you won't know what to do with yourself with Esme at nursery :-)
We had a catastrophe with OH's car yesterday. It threw a tantrum while he was delivering a mobility scooter and refused to go any further. He had to get it towed to our mechanics and then leave the trailer until our SIL finished work and could pick it up. It's not looking good :-(. So as OH has his other volunteer work today I had to drive him to the bus depot.

Hello, :-)
Had a lovely day with my family. My sister and her OH arrived as planned. I haven't seen her for eight years. Then my brother and his OH arrived. I do see them regularly now. We all went out for lunch to a beautiful spot overlooking the local estuary with magnificent views. Such a nice warm day we opted to have lunch outside. My sister has not really seen much of North Wales before, and said how similar it is to parts of New Zealand, where she has been several times. I have often thought this.
Linda glad to see that you have arrived safely to resume duties. Hope you get on alright taking little Esme to nursery in the morning.
Berona - I did make use of my visitors, well the two men anyway. They brought a heavy double mattress downstairs for me. It is like new, and a very expensive one, so my SIL has taken it to be sold to raise funds for a hospice. With the bed gone there is now space to manoeuvre wardrobes etc in order that the room can be redecorated for me to move into before winter arrives.
Amanda - I hope that the day passed peacefully, without any unfortunate events on the allotments.

I am safely down South, getting instructions for taking Esme into nursery tomorrow.
I hope Tec had a lovely day with his family. Sylvia is probably having afternoon coffee, Amanda will either have had a nice day on the allotment or be worn out by nanny duty and all the upside down people will be having sweet dreams

Hello Berona, 24 sounds lovely, it is just short of that here.
I went out to do some cinema admin. I have a dental check up and the hygienist this afternoon, so I must keep an eye on the clock. I will have to get myself to the station as O H isn't here. I don't think there is a suitable bus, so I will have to walk or egg a taxi
