Of course I will buy something. I won't pretend that I'm not buying - you both know me so well :-D

I used to bake a lot when the children were young but i don't even bake with the children now they are in school. Their mum bakes a lot with them on the weekends.

I wish I were coming with you :-) I expect there will be some magnificent specimens there.

I spent an hour playing with my plants today, cutting off the dead flowers, and generally tidying them up.
I'm putting up some shelves for them soon

I don't bake much these days as it is just the two of us, but I used to before the children left

I sure am Tec :-D. We have the children for a couple of hours this morning but we will take them home and then go to the show. I'm looking forward to it :-)

My son isn't quiet getting ready to go off on another field trip so it would be impossible to sleep :-)

I'm sorry that poor Esme is ill again. You will miss the girls when you are off duty but it will be good to get back to normal. You will need that holiday.

Tec - I also have too much in my cupboards. I'm going to give my daughter most of my cake tins as I rarely bake anymore.

It will be nice to have more time at home, but I will miss them. I spoke to them on Face time tonight (video call) and Esme was just trying to touch my face on the screen

Sadly I suppose it's inevitable that Esme will pick up bugs now that she is at nursery, I hope her cold improves before next week.

I come home on Thursday evening and had no trouble last night. I should only have next week to do and then I will be a free agent. That depends upon Esme settling in nursery. She didn't do well last week and tonight she has an awful cold,so that doesn't bode well. I do have one more spare week after that if needed before we go away

I will see what storage I actually end up with, then decide what can go. I know that lots of things are not needed - do I really need nine saucepans? :-D

I wondered if you were traveling home tonight Linda, as my SIL had awful trouble on the trains this evening.
No trains from Birmingham to Wolverhampton. He was put on a bus, but it stopped miles before Wolverhampton. Phoned daughter to say he was stranded.

I think I could get rid of lots of things from my kitchen cupboards as well even though I have been through them not that long ago. When it comes down to it, I tend to use very little of what is there.

As you unpack the boxes to put things back, you can be ruthless about what you keep. When we replaced the kitchen, we just kept out of the way and let them get on with it, so you should have plenty of time to go out.As long as you are there at the start and end of the day and give them your mobile number in case of any queries, that should be fine.

I am sorry that your daughter has hurt her back, I hope she feels better soon

It is a nuisance that the kitchen fitters will be here at the same time as my sister and her friend, but it can't be helped. I have explained to my sister, and she isn't at all bothered.
I will rig up somewhere to put the kettle, so at least we can have a drink.
We will be eating out mostly.
As you say, maybe I won't be wanted here, so we can go out.
Everything is packed away in boxes, so I only have the worktops to clear now.
I won't have the same storage, so lots of things I don't need can go.
