Watching the news on the television was quite scary - I'm glad they arrested these people but where are the others?

Amanda - let's hope the nasty man stays away. Wouldn't his life be so much easier if he were more pleasant? Drew and Grandad had a wonderful day together - the weather was so nice too.

Linda - I'm sure that Esme will settle. You don't have much time to relax though. Now you're off again.

Are you enjoying your new kitchen Tec? :-D

Tecwyn Report 18 Sep 2014 22:56

I'm sure Esme will settle down soon when she gets used to the new people, of course it is distressing for you too, and I can understand that.
I wonder what little jobs your son has lined up for you :-D

I'm sure that you can't wait to be on that plane on holiday :-)

I am glad that the attack was thwarted as well.

I hope that they do manage to evict the nasty man Amanda, at least he will be keeping his head down.

Esme was better today at nursery, but she still cries when it is noisy, I hate to see her like that, but she will have to get used to it. She spent all day there today. i was there for the first and last feed, but she was on her own for most of the day. I am not going next week, so my commuting days are over .

We have to go down for the school half term to look after Eve of course, but that will be nice.

Tomorrow we are off again to my sons new house which is still a building site, we will be back on Sunday

Ian am glad you are happy with your kitchen Tec, you will be able to produce gourmet meals now

Hello, :-)

Amanda, My kitchen is brilliant, and much easier to use. I have spent all day emptying boxes. Got it all back with the exception of one box of things like polishes, which used to live under the sink. Now they can live out in the back porch.
I do also have a box of items no longer needed. Some can be thrown away, some can go to the charity shop.

Pleased to see that barmy man is now conspicuous by his absence on the allotment. Hopefully he has got the message, and will go to irritate elsewhere.

Berona we are enjoying a wonderful Indian Summer. It is so far the driest September in 50 years. Today was again warm and sunny.

It was fortunate that the terrorist attack was thwarted in Sydney. Sadly these evil people can pop up anywhere, worldwide.
The gang that organised the London bombing killing many people on the bus, and underground were white water rafting the weekend before just thirty miles away from here.
It saddens me that there is so much trouble in the world, and as usual, it's the innocent that suffer in the areas affected.

Hello Berona . I did see the news regarding the thwarted attack :-0 Good job your security services are on the ball ! I dispare of this world at times :-(
We won't get the result of the Scotland vote until tomorrow morning . I guess the counting will begin shortly . I hope it is the No vote that wins .

Tec , your kitchen sounds wonderful and I'm glad to see you enjoyed your sisters company .I hope you have managed to get a little bit of rest today .

Linda , I hope Esme settles at nursery , it must be distressing if your wondering and worrying about how she is getting along . It sounds as if her big sister certainly likes school life :-)

Sue , I hope you enjoyed your morning out and that " Grand-Dad " and DRew had a good morning also .

~~~~~ to eveyone else .
It has been very quiet on the allotments . The trouble maker had his " marching orders " but as we all guessed he would , has refused to go , he has put up signs on his plot saying " Legal dispute .....blar blar blar ..... anyone going onto his plot will be acting illegally.....blar blar blar " . On the plus side , his " legal " advice must have been to keep away ( we think he is worried if he is spotted up there then someone will demand the gate key back off him ) ? No one seems to certain about the next move but at least the atmosphere is far more pleasent without him lurking around .
Hello all. Another nice day here. A little cooler than I like it and with some wind, which made it feel cooler than it really was... I believe our news reached you about the thwarted attempt to repeat that dreadful incident which happened in London, some time ago. A random attack on any individual with explosives and intention of a beheading. The police rounded up the terrorists and have the ring-leader in gaol. It all happened in my district involving my own and surrounding suburbs - although I think the actual attack would have been planned for the city of Sydney. The culprits' homes were raided in the early hours of this morning. The homes are usually reasonably nice in respectable suburbs and not near each other. That's how it was in this instance. We will know more tomorrow.
In the meantime, I wonder what the news from your side of the world will be? We will need to wait until Friday morning here, to know the outcome of the referendum.
Goodnight Tec - sleep well <3
I love areas of Sydney where you can have many varieties of food. There is a wonderful African restaurant in one of the suburbs.
Sue ................
to be honest
yes, I do worry about getting lost :-D
there are lots of signage, especially at you might call the hubs .............. the main entrances at office towers, hotels etc.
what I do really like is the fantastic variety of foods to eat ................. not just your average "mall food fair".
SylviaInCanada Report 17 Sep 2014 22:46
night night Tec
sleep well!
By the way ............... I found that I did some re-reorganizing of the kitchen after we had ours done ............... some of the first ideas didn't work as well as I first thought.
I think it took me about 2 months to finally get everything into drawers or cupboards that really worked well
It's wonderful to have that bond that lasts long after your grandfather has gone. I know that Drew loves being with me but there's no one like Grandad. Drew is a quiet boy whereas Joel talks non stop and is always wanting to do things. I can cope with that but I think OH finds it a little difficult at times :-D
I'm off to bed now,
Enjoy your breakfast Sue,
Linda - regards to Stewart - your teddy bear? :-D
Bye Sylvia,
Goodnight,
Tec :-)
I will take my time Sue - the panic now over. There is a pile of cardboard boxes to go through.
I also had a very special bond with my grandfather - we spent a lot of time together. He was very supportive and showed a genuine interest in everything I did. That bond has remained with me throughout my life.
SueMaid Report 17 Sep 2014 22:27
Take it slow Tec - as long as you have the essentials you can take some time organising the rest.
OH doesn't mind missing breakfast - the weather looks good and he is looking forward to spending the day with Drew. They have a special bond :-)
Tecwyn Report 17 Sep 2014 22:13
Hello, :-)
Sue I hope that you enjoy breakfast out today. Shame that your OH can't join you - maybe you bring him home a croiisant :-D or a honey waffle.
Sylvia you seem to have the Christmas travel arrangement well in hand. The tunnel system sounds wonderful in case of severe weather - how sensible.
I am not stopping long tonight as after three very hectic days I am very tired, but it's over now and I shall spent tomorrow slowly getting my kitchen organised again, after a good nights sleep.
Hi Sue, and everyone
Tec .............. your kitchen sounds wonderful!!
and how good that you did get out with your visitors.
well, this current sunny spell is over ............... we woke up to showers this morning, and it has been cloudy all day
I've just booked my return trip home from daughter's ...................... I had enough points to use for the trip out there before Christmas, but have had to use real money to get home afterwards :-)
we'll be away for about 3 weeks in total ...................... we'll be celebrating New Year on the train, which should be somewhere in northwestern Ontario, close to the Manitoba border, at midnight on the 31st
we are spending 1 night in Montreal each way ............. have to overnight in either Toronto or Montreal 'cos of train connections ............. and Montreal is so much nicer that Toronto :-)
Besides which ............... if the weather is really really bad (like -30 or below and snowing hard), the hotel in Montreal is connected to the station by an escalator ........... which stops halfway at the underground city that exists in Montreal ......................... the biggest mall you have ever seen in your life, all underground :-)
There are over 32 km (20 mi) of tunnels spread over more than 12 sq km (4.6 sq mi) connecting shopping malls, apartment buildings, hotels, condominiums, banks, offices, museums, universities, seven Metro stations, two commuter train stations, a regional bus terminal and an amphitheatre and arena.
The "tunnels" are large and brightly lit, and most of them have shops on both sides
we don't even have to put our noses outside.
Then down on the station level is the wonderful Les Halles de la Gare, which is another large shopping and food complex ................ just like some of the "halles" that you see in France.
Pick up loaf of freshly baked french bread and locally made pate, plus a bottle of wine on the way to your train :-)
The trains leave from the level below the station concourse and Les Halles.
do you get the feeling that I enjoy Montreal ..... especially the station and hotel above it :-)
take care everyone
My lips are sealed Linda :-D. Better you don't know who Stewart is Tec :-D
Your kitchen sounds perfect and I'm sure things will be so much easier for you. It would be wonderful if you could take the lady's offer and have a nice holiday on the Canary Islands but I can see that it isn't practical just now.
I'm off out for breakfast today with my brother and SIL. OH won't be there as he is going to Drew's sports carnival. I'll have his share :-D
