Good Evening Berona,
I'm sure you should be getting your beauty sleep at this hour :-)
It's a nice sunny day here too, but a windy. Temp about 17C.

I won't be doing much today as my brother and SIL are visiting. They are coming to inspect the new kitchen. SIL has a new kitchen about every three years :-( Doesn't everyone? :-D

Linda I'll have steak and chips if you're passing this way :-D

Hello all. Hope you are all well and happy. (and not overdoing anything).
That last bit was mainly for Tec!

Another nice day here - we didn't have the storms yesterday which other parts of Sydney had - just a couple of showers - and to-day, again an early shower, but the sun came out and the temp reached 20, so a typical Spring day.

Good morning thread :-D

I am sure that you will sort Maisie out Sue, after all you did a god job on your OH :-)

It is a nice sunny morning here. but a bit windy. I have Meals on Wheels to deliver today. OH is going to do them with me because my normal partner is away on holiday

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams <3

Elizabeth - Maisie is a rescue dog and has had no training although she is a year old. She is a gorgeous little girl and is making a place for herself in the family. My grandchildren love her.

Goodnight Elizabeth :-)

Maisie is cute Sue, and it would be a temptation to spoil her, but I think any dog is happier knowing who the pack leader is, and knowing the house rules, what's allowed and what's not.

(anyone in a household can be the pack leader as far as a dog is concerned)

Well I'd better get to bed. My brother and SIL are visiting tomorrow.

Enjoy your day Sue - hope the sun shines,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Dear Tec, Sue and Linda

Hello

Aww, my imagination was running riot!!

To business, stripping wallpaper and decorating.

When my OH and I have been decorating, a lot of the paint lands
on me, instead of the wall.

Sue, I hope little Maisie will settle down very soon.
You are very caring and she will sense this.

Take gentle care all
Best wishes
Elizabeth,
xx

We allowed Molly to become spoiled to a certain extent and that taught us a lesson. You are right - people do tend to spoil small dogs because they are 'cute'.

Tecwyn Report 25 Sep 2014 23:30

It's sad that Maisie is afraid of storms.

You learn a lot by watching a new dog, good and bad points.

The temptation is to spoil a small dog for many people, then they can become neurotic.
I think large or small, a dog is a dog.
I was delighted to see you say that Maisie won't become a "princess" because it does the dog no favours

I'm sure you were very handsome in your uniform and can well imagine you fighting off those wealthy widows on the ships :-D. Those were the days eh, Tec :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 25 Sep 2014 23:24

I am definitely not fishing for compliments,

I've no illusions about my geriatric physique :-D

Though I did once cut quite a dash in my uniform - if a long time ago :-D

Nice that I don't have to fight the ladies off anymore :-D there's always a silver lining :-D

SueMaid Report 25 Sep 2014 23:21

Maisie just trembled and whimpered. We are learning more about her every day.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 25 Sep 2014 23:17

Are you fishing for compliments Tec ? :-D

Time is not kind - in my mind I'm still in my 30's but the rest of me says "you wish" :-(

My two labs didn't like thunder Sue,

one used to dive on the sofa and hide her head behind me, and the other would just land on me :-D

they were quite big dogs too :-(

I might appear in a catalogue of old wrecks and ancient monuments :-D

I had to look up Mr Gandy :-D

We had a whacking thunderstorm yesterday although it was much worse in Sydney. Maisie doesn't like thunder :-(

Keep perfecting your look Tec and I am sure they will be featuring you in the next catalogue.
