I am off to bed now anyway,

Difficult that we all live in different time zones.

Enjoy your day Sue, and you too Sylvia,

Goodnight,
Tec. :-)

Great idea Tec.....and yes chasing is a great game :-D

I must be off. Daylight saving started today so there is less chat time.

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams <3

Enjoy the rest of your day Sylvia <3

It is a brilliant idea Sylvia - we had two black labs and could never see them in the dark, particularly if one went into the bushes at night :-D

I wish we had one of those collars then.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Oct 2014 23:09

Tec .........

that collar sounds a wonderful idea!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 23:08

:-D :-D :-D

Because Milo is mostly black and cannot be seen in the dark, Sue found a gadget on the internet. It's a thin "necklace" with a small battery in it, when switched on a red, green, and white light flickers around the necklace.
Dogs are easily spotted in the dark.

The more you chase Maisie the more she will run - it's a great game :-D

SueMaid Report 4 Oct 2014 23:03

Maisie goes romping in the backyard and refuses to come in at night. Luckily being white we can see her. We've found out she likes playing "catch me if you can"
:-|

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 22:57

Had to fetch Milo in, he was laying down in the garden as if it was the middle of the day - it's very cold out there tonight :-(

We get so many house fires here in winter caused by people with inadequate heating using portable gas or paraffin stoves.

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Oct 2014 22:51

sorry ....... had to go and do something.

Yes, Sue ........... good job it happened now.

There was a horrible fire in a small town in Quebec last winter that killed a lot of the residents in a seniors home, many of them bedridden, or unable to walk.

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 22:40

You never know Sue - he might surprise you :-D

I have to let Milo out now - won't be long

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Oct 2014 22:36

Doubtful Tec :-D.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 22:32

Maisie will enjoy having a short coat with the warmer weather arriving - I expect that she thinks she is a proper glamour puss :-D

Maybe you OH will come back with a bamboo chair or table :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Oct 2014 22:29

I am well thank you Tec.

Yesterday my SIL bathed and groomed Maisie. We had her coat shaved off and she seems very comfortable with her new look. It is much easier to see if she has a tick with short hair.

No bacon sarnies Linda - OH is already up and out at the markets. I decided not to go this morning. Goodnight xx

Thank goodness the building wasn't full of residents and staff Sylvia. There was a care home near Melbourne that had a fire and sadly some people died :-(

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 22:21

Good Morning Sue,

How are you today?

Sylvia I installed my own CH system in this house - miles and miles of it :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 4 Oct 2014 22:20

Tec ........

.......... the regulations even for a house are very stringent, and much more so for a multi-dwelling building.

Problems with electricity, or other building failures can still happen in older buildings that have not been retro-fitted

but you don't expect it in a new building.

There is no word yet as to whether the fire was an accident or arson.

Hello Sue, I have just caught you before my internet time runs out for tonight. I get one free hour and then would have to pay for it.
I hope you got bacon sarnies this morning as it is Sunday. There is an egg chef here who cooks the bacon and eggs to order. Breakfast takes ages, but that is fine as we aren't going anywhere

Hi Sue

This memorial is for the 8th of the 9 close friends and relatives who have died since January .......

.......... I haven't counted the number of distant friends and acquaintances

It has been a really bad year for us!

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Oct 2014 22:16

I'm sure many questions will be asked at the enquiry into the fire Sylvia.

I have a friend in the electrical installation business in Vancouver - he tells me that the regulations applicable to that industry are far more stringent than they are in the UK.
