That'll make a change - you might even find something to buy, possibly :-D

I am only hear to help after school and on a morning, so that Eves dad doesn't have to cope with both of them. Esme is at nursery tomorrow so I have the day to myself. I might go into town and have a mooch about.

You'll just have to grab some rest as and when you can :-)

No re-decorating the lounge :-D

You are indeed, Eve will be shouting for Hanma's at some ungodly hour. Still she has school tomorrow, so I will have an easy day.

You sound very tired Linda - it's been a full day.
Get to bed as soon as you are able, and hope you are not woken too early in the morning - I know I am being silly :-D

Hello Tec, I hope you like your new TV when it arrives.

I am tired, but I need to sort my bedding out yet and I can't be bothered :-(

Greetings from Wales - Croeso I Cymru,

Glad you had a good journey Linda - I hope Esme soon realises that it is you, and gives you a smile.

It has been a grey day here, so I prepared my bedroom ready for the television installation tomorrow.

Berona I hope that your daughter enjoys her cruise and feels the better for it.

Greetings from the south, well not as far south as the upside down people of course

I had an uneventful journey down and have played all afternoon as Eve had a teachers training day, so wasn't at school. She is fast asleep now, so I won't see any more of her until the morning

Esme little horror cried every time I picked her up. She recognises me on Skype, but obviously has forgotten me since she went to nursery, she will be fine after a couple of days I suppose

My dtr and g/dtr are off on an 8day cruise tomorrow. It should have been taken last January, but dtr had a health breakdown in July, 2013, and it has taken this long for her to come through it. Still not fully recovered, but certainly much better. I have encouraged her to go on this cruise - to make her relax. She still has her good and bad days, so I hope to see an improvement when she comes home..

If you can see my FB you will see what the streets of Grafton, NSW look like in Novenber each year. Also, I see my son in law has sent me a photo of his U/12 team and their opponents, lining up for a moment of respect for our cricketer. SIL is the coach of his team and also plays himself. (Can't give it up - he's 46 now).

Hi Sue, and everyone!

Carole ............. congratulations to your son and your daughter. Your son will find his "spot" soon.

I won't be able to come to OZ, unfortunately .............

............... but like Tec, I really honestly cannot remember ever being as cold as I was in our first 2-3 weeks in Melbourne in 1975.

A 1-bar electric fire was all we had to heat the 2-bedroom flat ................... and there were ventilation bricks in the wall of the kitchen and the bathroom that literally were open to the outside.

So, we froze while outside, and couldn't get warm inside ................ even having a hot bath didn't help because there was this cold draught blowing right over the bath tub :-(

brrrrrrrrrrr

Linda .................. safe trip down to London tomorrow. xxx

I talked to my daughter earlier, and she agreed with my suggestion that we will have our breakfast at the hotel on Christmas, and let them get the initial excitement of Christmas and stocking opening over and done with.

They can have a peaceful (?) breakfast after that, and then one of them will come to pick us up ................ and we will open our stockings then, while they open presents from under the tree.

I've already said that OH and I do not want presents ........ we have literally everything we could want!

OH and I never used to have Christmas stockings .......... for both of us, stockings were always for children, and the fun of watching them. But J's in-laws have stockings for everyone, so we now have a small stocking each that J made for us which we take over with us ................. but are never used on this side :-)

take care everyone

We get on very well Sue, she is very quiet, but has a quirky sense of humour that I understand.

She is known to her parents as "Lady Mary" :-D not least because she does actually look like her out of Downton Abbey, and has the same mannerisms.
Very serious, but she knows, that I know, there is mischief behind that fascade sp

:-D

There will be cheap flights to Toulouse, so it probably costs less to get there than it would do to see you. In any case the boyfriend probably has more to offer in her eyes ;-)

I guess that will happen with our grandchildren too, Linda. Not for a long while yet though.

You will always be your girl's grandfather, Tec <3

Yes I know Linda :-( she will be 21 in July.
Quite the young lady now.

Steady boyfriend who is teaching in Toulouse for a year, so she "pops" over there whenever possible
