way back ... way back ? Carole... that' s one of us yelling at the dogs to get the cows in at milking time...

Trying to watch 24 hrs in A & E... and type and listen to himself... multi-tasking can be quite taxing...

I find all sorts in the bottom of the front loader Linda...

Hello ladies.

I have on occasion gone back to some of our old posts. It's great to see how our friendships have developed over the years. Who would have thought it? I only put the thread up for a bit of fun :-D

It has continued to rain on and off all day although we had some weak sunshine for about half an hour this afternoon.

Ever had a meal that you've cooked many times that for some reason just goes wrong? Well I did tonight :-( I cooked chicken Kiev with sautéed potatoes, peas and carrots. The peas and carrots were fine :-(

OH is a devil for putting bolts and screws etc in his pocket, they are all shiny when I take them from the bottom of the washing machine

I did not like to spread my post over two posts... and had been waiting to see who it would be.. and then got busy on FB...

I tend to go back a few pages when I come on Carole.. used to be from when I posted last .. but I decided not to do that or else I might never get to post when I was away for the year...

Hello everyone,

Does anyone ever go back and read some of the earlier posts on here? or am I the only sad one?

Its a lovely sunny day here, it feels a little like spring :-)
Yesterday as I was taking clothes out of the washing machine I found one of my earings in the bottom of the machine, just one! I went into a panic searching for the other one and could not find it anywhere. When OH got home from work I told him what had happened, and about an hour later he hands me my other lost earing, thank goodness! oh, it was under the clothes rack we keep in the garage in cold weather.
No more taking them off and leaving them in my pocket...lesson learned lol

Sorry to hear about Flick Diane <3

I hope everyone is well

Hi Sue, and everyone

Yes, a terrible shock regarding Sandie.

Diane ......... I am sorry that you have had to have Flick put to sleep, but as you said, you did have time to prepare yourself. xxx

I made John's list, for some reason best known to him ................. especially as I was away over the weekend, and missed all the shenanigans on the Boards.

I must admit ............. it looked as though WW3 had broken out when I looked on the site late Sunday evening/Monday morning.

Here's hoping things sort themselves out .................. I complained to Estelle, and she replied saying they were very concerned about the situation, and were working hard to stop all the unpleasantness.

Let's hope it works!

We had a wonderful time at the Toast for our friend .......... it had been raining in the morning, but the sun came out as we drove from the hotel to their house, and there were 2 bald eagles flying round and round over the Garden

About 75 people turned up, arrived on time, and left more or less on time :-D

About 10 of us were asked to stay on for "dinner" .........

....... between the main event and the dinner, we think about 20 bottles of wine were opened and most finished.

People only had 1 or 2 glasses, so no-one got smashed. It was a good event.

After we got back to the hotel, OH and I went into the Whisk(e)y bar.

OH pored through the list of about 125 whisk(e)ys, decided on, and ordered, a double Laphroiag from Scotland .............. then I pointed out that there was one from WALES!

He's insisting that we stay at that hotel again so he can try that one :-D :-D

We had a good trip home ................. a lovely weekend, spoiled only by what I saw when I came on GR much later

take care, everyone
