Good evening Mr Tec

Tecwyn Report 26 Jun 2013 22:02

Can't remember the last time I saw a Prime Minister who looked genuinely sincere.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Jun 2013 19:37

I saw him being interviewed on our evening news, he was trying to be sincere, but to me he seemed to be smirking

SylviaInCanada Report 26 Jun 2013 19:20

that's a surprise!

I didn't think she really would lose that confidence vote!!

But, like Linda, it hasn't yet made the news here ....... at least, not on the radio.

I guess we wait and see how Kevin Rudd does this time around.

Eve is getting a balance bike for her birthday. She has a scooter which she is very good at, it came with a detachable seat, but she just used to topple off sideways,so they never used the seat part.

I will take some more photos when we go down, I have just ordered a new battery for my camera because the other one has died. I did try to use my mobile, but the pictures were useless, I have just got a new phone and the photos on that are excellent.

It is funny how they develop. Eve has had very little concept of size. If you gave her a bread stick for instance, sometimes she would ask for another one. All you had to do was snap it in half and put one in each hand and she really believed she had two.
Yesterday she went to Nando's with her mum (a noodle restaurant) and her mum tried something similar, but Eve wasn't having any of it.

Enjoy your day, Linda <3

Persie - August is also growing up very quickly.

My goodness we have a new (old) Prime Minister :-0

They are keen for her to do hip hop as well. They did hip hop lessons at her nursery as an extra which you had to pay for. Unfortunately it was on a Monday when she doesn't normally attend, but they let her go in for a couple. She loved them, but then the lessons stopped.

When her mum was three, I used to take her to a mid week dance lesson which was half ballet and half tap. When she got to school age, she couldn't go to that,so she had to choose which one to go to on a Saturday and she chose the ballet.

I need to go out now, so sleep well down under when the time comes. <3

He likes to dance but he is more of a bee bop, twist and shake type of dancer..

He will ask if he can have something without the magic word.. so my daughter will say to him what do you say.. and instead of saying please Mummy.. he goes through the whole sentence again with the additional please Mummy.

She had bought him what is called a balance bike but he has not been able to ride it and my SIL couldn't understand why as another little boy at daycare can ride his and my SIL was quite bothered with this and kept on and on about it.Then he asked the father can you adjust the height down.. no but you can up.. why August's feet didn't reach the pedals and Baker's did was because when my daughter had ordered it she ordered one that was a lot higher. My SIL was concerned re August's ability in comparison with Baker.. if anything August is probably taller.

Now they have two bikes, and he can reach the pedals.. it can be adjusted as he grows and now they have to sell the other one on our Trademe (E-bay)

You need to put some more photos up of Eve, Linda... one in her ballet gear would be good.

Meant to say that Eve's mum will be happy to see her little girl showing an interest in ballet.

SueMaid Report 26 Jun 2013 10:31

Aimee is keen to do Hip Hop dancing. There were some girls doing this at the concert where Drew sang. She very much wanted to join in :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Jun 2013 10:28

She is very keen on ballet and insists on having it on the TV,so she can dance along with it. Her mum did ballet right the way through until she went away to uni,so she can show Eve the correct moves. Eve keeps trying to do arabesques, but she just sticks her leg out backwards at an odd angle :-)

They are allowed to start lessons when they are three as long as they do an induction lesson and the teacher thinks they are ready, she passed that with flying colours.

She has her pink tights, skirt, cross over cardigan and leotard, she looks so cute. She reminds me of her mummy when she was little of course.

The time does pass so quickly, I can't believe how big August is Persie when I see photo's of him

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 26 Jun 2013 10:19

That's true, Persie :-D

SueMaid Report 26 Jun 2013 10:16

How cute - Eve must be the most beautiful ballet dancer <3

I can't believe she is 3 - I can remember pacing the floor with you :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 26 Jun 2013 10:08

Well, I had considered taking up ballet, but I think my joints are too seized up for that :-(

Eve will be three on Saturday and has just started ballet lessons. She has all the regulation kit, so the bag will make a good present to keep it in. She is having a party for some of her nursery friends and is very excited about it. My son is going for the day,so he will help out with the catering.

We are going the following weekend because her daddy is going away and someone needs to be there to help her mum. Eve will be going to a birthday party for one of her friends on the Sunday,so I will go with them, granddad will stay behind for some peace and quiet, although he usually has a list of jobs to do when he goes down there.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 26 Jun 2013 10:02

Meant to ask Linda - are you buying the ballet bag for Eve or yourself?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 26 Jun 2013 09:59

This chicken was very dry but usually the garlic butter keeps it moist - I don't know what I did wrong and the potatoes caught on the bottom of the pan :-(. Of course OH and son didn't dare complain :-D
