It isn't worth behaving nicely just for a measly bit of chocolate

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 21:45

The Duchess is not allowed chocolate, so I have to eat it all myself unfortunately.
You may have a small piece if you behave nicely.

It has been tippling with rain all day here - I have just put the heating on as it's quite cool here this evening.

Hello Shaun - I am a paragon of virtue as everyone knows, so always on my best behaviour - sadly :-(

Sleep well Shaun. Tec has run away to eat his chocolate bar in secret

Hello Everyone.
Just going to bed and thought I had better say thank you to the boss Sue and Caroline for your kind comforting words and hugs.
Is Tec behaving himself ?
Night Night

Well may I have a third of your last bar, along with the Duchess.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 21:28

Yes you can have milk in your coffee.

I just meant don't take advantage of my sympathy, like asking for my last bar of chocolate for example :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 21:21

What no milk in my coffee :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 21:00

Very unfair to blame Sue.

With all your globe trotting you've obviously picked up some foreign bug.

That's how we got Dutch Elm disease, Ash die back, and now Larch die back.

However, as I am an old softie you have my sympathy - but don't milk it :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 19:46

I blame Sue, yes it is all her fault. She was ill last week and has passed it onto me.

I have a bad cold, I went out and about this morning, but mid afternoon, I felt dreadful ,so I went to bed and went straight to sleep. I felt a bit better after that, but still require lots of sympathy.

You are good kind landlords Persie. It is often the way with builders etc that they spend their time earning money on other properties, but never have time to finish their own

I was surprised to see myself on this list of Island's when she was answering Hayley..

"Hayley, I think you are the most interesting and funniest person on chat........

.......along with Mersey, Prickles, Wend, Errol, Merlin, Jimbob Rustlepants, Scozz, MotownGal, Persie..........oh the heck, the list is endless and Emma GG"

Who is Jimbob Rustlepants?

Tec... thought it must have been cross words on the Welsh thread.

Glad your committee member did not visit me.. I have my computer table in the lounge stacked with books .. until other areas are finished and now on top of that are clothes avec their hangers out of the walk in wardrobe in our room. Little point in putting them back until all is done (goodness knows when) .. might paint inside there myself..

Himself has been up in ceiling of one of our Rentals pushing the insulfibre to the edges so more insulation greenstuff can be put in there plus clearing out underneath the property... a lot of old motorcycle parts were there from way back when (nowt to do with us) so that insulation can be put there as well.

Persie
We insulated in the ceilings each of our properties as we bought them.. but now we are doing the underneath and adding to ceilings to keep the tenants warmer in the winter... has been very cold today.

I would like to know why I was on that list???

Not that I am objecting, you understand :-D

I'm also getting sick of rain!

Summer is supposed to be the dry season here :-|

Tec ............... so sorry to hear about Taffy. But it sounds as though he still has quality time left.

We're going to a Public Consultation Open House tonight ................. a year's worth of discussions re the future of this neighbourhood has resulted in "plans" that are being shown at an Open House.

We got some information this morning ...................... shocked to say the least!

They ........... ie, city planners and local people (allegedly) .......... have come up with a plan where half of the "suburb" is going to be turned from single family housing to apartment blocks ranging in height from 3 storey to 6 storeys, depending on whether they are built along main roads or in the quiet residential areas.

We can't find out who the "local people" are ....... other than "hundreds of kids at the local high school" ............. we certainly never received any information during the last year

it really looks like a developers' dream :-| :-| :-| :-|

Goodnight Tec - rest your weary "old" bones :-D <3

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Jun 2013 23:18

That's a real put down Sue isn't it? unkind, and unnecessary :-0

but I've had the same, although there is a vast difference between mine and your age. :-D

However, I still don't pensioner discount at the barbers :-0

Well I'm off to bed now, can't shake off this tiredness - yes I am old :-D

Enjoy your day - don't get wet out there,

Hello Berona, and Persie.

Persie if you look in, I was included on the "list" because I had the temerity to growl my disapproval when the individual was obnoxious on the Welsh thread way back last August :-D

Goodnight,
Tec.

Linda can be very mean Tec :-\

I had my eyes checked last week for new reading glasses. My script has hardly changed so I'm quite pleased. The optometrist also told me that my eyes are very healthy which was also pleasing.....until she said "for your age" :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Jun 2013 23:03

Goodnight Linda - sleep well.

Imagine that - Linda had that dressing gown free, and still didn't let you keep it. Probably scared you'd get grass stains on it out there in the garden :-D

OH has to get up early tomorrow because the start of the walk is a long way from here, so I had better turn in now in case I wake him up later.

I hope it stops raining Sue. Goodnight Tec
