Goodnight Tec - sleep well <3

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 23:14

I am sure they love reminding you of that :-D

I of course got told off for not fixing the cabinet to the wall properly :-D.

There was quite a bad one once when I was in the Philipines, that was scary. I can imagine how scared the people were in Wellington when they had that terrible earthquake.

The Brits are famous for moaning about the British weather, but I think we get of lightly really - not that earthquakes can be counted as weather really :-)

Well I'd better go to bed - getting the "look" :-D

Enjoy your day Sue - hope the sun appears sometime,

Hello Berona, and Persie,

Goodnight,
Tec.

I remember the last one we had. The children were still young at the time. The boys were playing in the bedroom and I called out to them to stop bouncing on the beds. The older one called back to say he thought it was a earthquake and I told him to stop being silly. It was only later that I found out we had had a small earthquake. Of course I am still reminded about that on occasion :-D

Little earthquakes are not unusual in this area. There is a fault line near to the Lleyn Peninsular, just across the bay. The one the other week was 3.5, and last night just 2.8.
The most powerful was in 1998 at 5.5. That caused some structural damage, and shook the house we lived in 60 miles away at that time, causing the bathroom cabinet to fall off the wall.
I though I was having a bad day, when the kitchen floor shook beneath me as I made coffee at 8am :-D

Another earthquake :-0 Is that unusual in your area? I do remember you saying that there have been earthquakes before. I can only remember about few in our area although there have been quite a few in Australia over the years.

I should rush outside now before the rain starts again :-D

Yes I hope Linda will be better tomorrow - she needs a holiday :-D

We had another little earthquake last night, second in a month. Epicentre out in the bay apparently.

Hello Tec - it's not raining at the moment but there is more to come :-(

Poor Linda - I hope she is feeling much better after a good night's sleep.

I think part two is on next week. I like programmes about ancient Greece, and Rome.
Very advanced civilisations for the time in many ways.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 22:21

Yes I watched, but I kept losing concentration

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 22:19

Did you watch the programme about the ancient Greeks? very interesting

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 22:18

I terrorise my neighbours anyway - the old lady next door has taken to hiding from me :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 22:14

Well you could put go faster stripes on the Duchess's mobility scooter, then drive on the pavement terrorising your neighbours

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 22:09

Well now you know how I normally go about.

I was going to turn up in Dolthingy like that, but thought I was going to meet to very seriously staid ladies :-D didn't want to alarm you.

I could buy a zippy little two seater sports car with a loud exhaust, and roar around the mountains.

Do you think I'm having a mid life crisis - or is it too late? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 22:03

You were caught outside your house on Google maps

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 22:01

Have you been spying on me? :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 27 Jun 2013 21:59

Dye you hair purple and walk around wearing a brightly coloured kaftan, preferably with sandals and black socks

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 27 Jun 2013 21:54

Please yourself............

I agree - behaving all the time is so boring

I often feel like breaking loose and behaving outrageously I can't become a young tearaway because I'm too old - I could become a geriatric tearaway - but how? :-D
