OK, who made me so ill? Own up who ever it was who sneezed all over the thread. Now I have lost my voice, but thankfully not my ability to type. My head is pounding and I am going to buy shares in the paper tissue companies.

Apart from that I am fine :-(

Pleased to know that you remember the Everley Brothers Sue - I've still got several of their albums, and know most of the words to the songs :-D

Glad to hear that you didn't have a mis-spent youth in a haze of whacky backy smoke.
I'm saying nothing :-D though San Francisco in the 60s was a bit wild.

Well time for bed again,

Enjoy your day Sue - hope the sun shines,

Enjoy your day Sylvia, Berona, Persie,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Good night Linda and Amanda - sweet dreams <3 <3

Tec - I remember the Everley Brothers. I liked their music. My family always tease me about hippy or "psychedelic" music as they call it. They are convinced I went through my teen years in a haze of wacky baccy smoke:-D I can assure you I didn't :-D

I can still rock as well Linda - from side to side :-D.

I've always enjoyed the Beach Boys music - does anyone remember the Everley Brothers? or are you all too young? :-D

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 29 Jun 2013 23:30

Sue , I haven't seen many bands but I have seen the " Boys " , my brother took me to London on the back of his motorbike to see them perform in 1980 ( ish ) . I might not recall the year but I can rember the thrill of jumping up and down , singing along to every song :-D :-D a most happy day indeed .

Sylvia - I did wonder if she was sent to the workhouse because she had illegitimate children. Obviously her sons did nothing to help her either but I try not to judge because we never know the circumstances of the story. I may try to get more information - her death certificate would be a start.

Tec , no doubt you have worn better than the Stones because you are far more sensible than they :-D
I recall you mentioning that you had met the Beach Boys but didn't realise you had that pleasure twice ! I have loved there music since I was a teenager . My eldest brother ( six years older than me ) , has always been very much into music , he has an awesome record collection that is quite varied . It was him that turned me onto the Beach Boys :-)

I loved the Beach Boys too, Amanda. I went with a friend to see them when I was about 17. Their music fitted in with my lifestyle of going to the beach with friends.

I haven't heard of that group, Tec. I really liked the Beatles - my OH loves them and still enjoys listening to their music.
