No - Cornwall isn't in Wales

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2013 21:52

My address usually frightens most people - mostly because they can't say it :-D

Not as if I'm on the tip of Cornwall is it?

I am used to a phone call to say they can't find me, usually because the Sat Nav has taken them down a dead end :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 21:47

One look at your address should have forewarned them :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Jul 2013 21:45

Well they advertise free delivery to all parts of England and Wales. They couldn't have realised where I was.
Never had a problem with anyone else. The carriers that serve this area are very good usually.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 21:42

They will probably want to charge you triple delivery to the back of beyond

Glad you feel a little better - you need to be much better to go to London. They won't appreciate Yorkshire bugs down there, you know how soft those Southerners are :-)

Thank you for the extra biscuit - actually I had a piece of chocolate instead :-)

My new fireplace is apparently being delivered on Thursday. I have had big problems getting delivery from this company. They had no idea where my address was when they took the order :-0

I do feel a bit better tonight, but I still feel as if I have been run over by a steam roller.

I settled down to watch Laura Robson and just closed my eyes for a second. When I opened them again, it was half way through the second set :-D

Poor Taffy. may he have an extra biscuit from me as well?

Come to think of it, poor Tec, you can have an extra biscuit as well

I hope you are feeling a bit better Linda, after a day of decadence on the sofa, watching Wimbledon. Glad that Murray is through, and surprised that Serena Williams is out already.

Been another dull day here, and rather cool. I put the heating on just now as we both felt cold.
Went for my warfarin test today, and discovered that my blood is unacceptably thin. They have told me to stop taking it, and I have to go back for another test on Wednesday.
Could explain why I've been so terribly tired all the time lately.

Carole - Glad you had such a warm welcome on your return to work. It is nice to be appreciated. I gave Taffy and extra pat from you, and an extra Bonio biscuit - he said thankyou, in Welsh of course - diolch yn fawr iawn :-)
He has his stitches out tomorrow after the biopsy.

Berona - Don't know about a quick step to Victor Sylvestor's Exhibition, but I'll settle for a slow foxtrot to "Beware - my foolish heart" :-)
Don't forget to wear your steel toe capped dancing shoes :-D

OH is back and it is lunch time, so I will log off now. Sleep well <3

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2013 12:01

I felt like that on Friday. Oh was driving the bus and apart from doing some very basic housework I did nothing for the rest of the day :-). I didn't feel at all guilty :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 11:46

OH is at the gym, I feel decadent just lazing around :-)

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2013 11:39

I also prefer to read my emails on the computer - they are set out in an easier to read format.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 11:30

I use my laptop for the family tree because I like to have lots of tabs open at the same time and it is easier on the laptop

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2013 11:26

Oh always carries a spare charged up battery for his camera. I find I'm using my IPad more and more. My son in Hobart said that once I have one I won' t bother with the computer but I still use it for photos and my family tree.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 11:22

I know Sue <3

I am happily ensconced on the sofa with my laptop :-)

I usually use my tablet during the day, but the battery has died. It discharges itself in less than five minutes which is very annoying. I found a video on U tube which shows how to replace it. It looks easy enough, although it means dismantling the whole thing, what could possibly go wrong? I have ordered another battery, it cost £37, so I hope I can fix it. As the battery has to come from abroad, it will be a while before it arrives.

When we went on holiday my camera wouldn't work either, the battery on that had been discharging quickly, but it had finally died. Luckily I had my mobile to use as a camera. I bought a new battery last week, but as it comes out to charge up, that was easily replaced

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2013 11:11

Not cross Linda just a little concerned :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 11:03

Ooh don't be cross Sue, I shall obey your every command from now on

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Jul 2013 10:57

I did tell you to rest Linda :-|

I agree Carole - of course everyone missed you <3

You're right Linda - the presenters aren't very good. Elvis Costello is on and I like him :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Jul 2013 10:49

Of course you were missed Carole, you are such a lovely person, how could it be otherwise <3

For once, it didn't rain for Glastonbury Sue. The BBC went all out with their coverage here, it was on several channels. Some of the music was very good, but oh, the presenters. Banal, infantile, incapable of constructing a sentence sorrectly, surely there must be better quality people who would love to be on TV.

I brought some washing down and put it in the machine, I now feel as if I have done a twelve hour shift down a coal mine, so the sofa it is for me for the rest of the day
