Tec , I'm sure that back then couples didn't always marry , no one would have known would they , especially if the family set up home away from their original families .

:-D I really am off now , sleep well .

I was just thinking that LInda , so I shall also say Good night .

Sue I hope you have a good day x

Amanda - I no longer think that "tying the knot" is all that important as it used to be.

It's a very modern thing not to - if you are truly committed to each other - does a piece of paper make any difference?

Just my opinion on the subject.

I don't think my maternal grand parents were ever married. There is no evidence of it. Even Linda couldn't find any

Sue, if I remember rightly your Aimee is about the same age as our Daisy ( getting on for 9 ? ) , very sassy indeed , our Daisy can flounce and put her parts on if she is in a mood :-|

I think the Duchess deserves a medal..........

Valour in the face of adversity

or

Courage beyond the call of duty :-)

imagine being married to me for over 50 years - poor woman :-D

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 11 Jul 2013 23:18

Tec , I sometimes wonder if we would have made it this far if we had actually ever tied the knot :-S lol

SueMaid Report 11 Jul 2013 23:16

22 years is to be congratulated too, Amanda :-)

Aimee is gorgeous but she can be an imp. She's been a little naughty at school too but they seem to have sorted that out.

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 11 Jul 2013 23:15

Linda , yes , I'm younger than springtime ......lol

Tecwyn Report 11 Jul 2013 23:14

22 years? - you're only a novice Amanda - but congratulations on 22 years anyway.
Many people don't get that far these days.

Sue , Aimee sounds like a bit of an imp :-D

SueMaid Report 11 Jul 2013 23:04

I loved pickled beetroot :-)

Amanda - Aimee winds Joel up very quietly then Joel gets told off for yelling at her :-)

We don't make a big deal of our anniversaries either although last December it was our 40th and we went out for a special dinner.

Only 43 years Sue

I hope the antibiotics work quickly Amanda, but it sounds as if it is coming along well

I have loads of Raspberries to collect tomorrow, but I will just freeze them. I made lots of spiced vinegar today and pickled the first of the beetroot
