Well I'd better go and get the Duchess upstairs and settled for the night. She should be ok now, I hope.

Hope your interviewing goes well Sue - take care.

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Goodnight Linda - Hope you sleep well tonight.

I am off again, goodnight

Tecwyn Report 14 Jul 2013 23:29

Thank you both for your concern - you are very kind.

I am used to it, and can handle the situation provided the Duchess is even semi conscious.
Usually I can spot it coming, but that was sudden without warning.

Anyway, all sorted - Duchess recovering, but not quite with us yet.

Oh thank goodness Tec - we were worried about you both <3

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Jul 2013 23:24

OH, I am glad that I saw you before I left Tec. Try and get some sleep once the Duchess is settled <3 <3 to both of you

Whew - that was a lot of running around - but panic over. I have some glucose jell that can be given provided she isn't unconscious.
Caught that just in time. Then given a spoonful of honey that goes down easily, then when it can be taken, a glass of milk and a two finger KIT-Kat.

Back from the brink - again :-)

The very hot weather plays havoc with the blood sugar levels, and hypo's can happen any time.
I dread the nigh time ones if I'm asleep. Anyway the Duchess is now just sitting quietly - she will be fine in about an hour.

That's what I was thinking, Linda - better now than during the night.

I am going to turn in now. I hope that the interview goes well Sue

<3 <3 <3 to Tec and his lovely Duchess

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Jul 2013 23:12

I am too Sue, but Tec is very used to it and as it has not happened during the night, he will have picked up on it very quickly, so hopefully the Duchess will respond soon

It is much needed in this area as some people have to travel to Sydney. As many sufferers are elderly that's not good enough. There was a specialised nurse at the hospital but the funding was cut. Of course there are private therapists but it is too expensive for many people. This clinic is run by volunteers. The person who is selected will have a contract stating they will give the clinic 6 hours a month free time. Of course the course they do will also enhance their own businesses or careers.

Oh dear - I am worried about Tec and the Duchess :-(

I hope that you can find someone suitable to train up quickly Sue

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 14 Jul 2013 23:02

Oh Tec <3

Linda - it is a type of massage used for patients with lymphodoema (sp) which comes quite often after a mastectomy. We support a clinic but the last massage therapist left as she was moving out of the area.

Oh dear, I hope you can sort her out without needing the helicopter again <3

OH having a hypo - I may be some time - Hi Sue

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Jul 2013 22:47

Goodness what sort of massage is this?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 14 Jul 2013 22:43

Too cold, Linda :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 14 Jul 2013 22:36

You should do it Sue, I am sure your OH would like it ;-)

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 14 Jul 2013 22:31

Linda is right Tec - I was sure you said you're stripping today :-D

It's turned overcast and wet here. Rained all night.

Yes Diane - the children can't wait to go back to school especially Drew. One of his friends broke her leg on the holidays and her brother broke his arm. They were playing on a wall and pulled each other down. Poor children - and poor parents :-(

I am on a panel of interviewers this morning. Four people are being interviewed for a specialist massage course that my organisation is paying for. I'm only there as a courtesy but it should be interesting although I'm a little nervous.
