I had trouble with the site last night, but it seems better so far this evening.

Mad dogs and Englishmen/women go out in the mid day sun :-D without their hats.

You could have borrowed a rhubarb leaf and tied it round your head :-D

No one would have noticed.

Carolee I hope you have a nice time in China - be sure to visit the Terracotta Warriors :-D

Wow Berona - 23 C in winter, that is our normal summer temperature - make the most of it.

I am having real trouble posting on here tonight, I have restarted my laptop, that helped a little, but it is still taking ages to load the pages

I forgot to take my hat to the allotment this afternoon when I went to pick Raspberries, maybe the sun has made me mad

The sea mist burnt off about 12 o'clock, followed by the heat and humidity.

I have just been sitting in the garden in the cool - the humidity has dropped, and I could breathe again.

I refuse to run about in my pants - whatever would the neighbours say - after they'd stopped laughing :-D

It is still so humid, I hope it freshens up soon, but I don't think so. Little Eve is just running round in her pants, she looks so cooI maybe I should emulate her lol

Had a nice warm day again to-day. (Well, I think so. Don't know whether I should be thankful for the weather or if it's my new dosage of warfarin kicking in). Whatever it is, I have been much warmer to-day. Tomorrow is expected to reach 23c. I can't believe that for winter. Whilst it's nice to enjoy, it could mean that we have a hot, dry summer - which can mean bush fires. Oh well, we can only wait and see. Can't do anything about the weather, but put up with it. I didn't even think to put on my aircon to-day (in mid-winter??). Weird.

Bah, missed Carole and Tec.

It is scorching here, so I have been making jam and bagging up frozen Raspberries. I made OH peel all the shallots, so they are all in brine ready to pickle tomorrow.

The decks are all clear now, ready for me to go and pick loads more fruit this afternoon

First of all we are going to walk into the square to try out the new gastro pub for lunch.

Our favourite bistros closed down and has just reopened as a tea rooms, but from the menu it looks like an old fashioned transport cafe. It has those horrible cheap vinegar bottles on the tables Such a shame because it was a thriving business, but the owner wanted to retire. :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 15 Jul 2013 23:48

oh dear - I'd best get rid of it then. It's cod, haddock, and sea bass.

I wouldn't feel comfortable using it. What a waste - never mind :-(

Well I'd best go to bed, Wonder where Sue is today? hope she's ok,

Sleep well Linda, if you can.

Hello Berona, and Persie,
Goodnight,
Tec :-)

oily fish like salmon only keeps for 4 months, cod, flat fish 6-8. A year is far too long

Talking of fish - and as you are the kitchen goddess.

I have some fish that's been in the freezer for 12 months - do you think it is still ok to use?
