Hello Amanda,

Yes we did achieve the highest temps today - it was 32 C at lunchtime. I went to hang washing on the line and came in dripping - it is so humid, even now.
I shan't be sorry when it cools down as I feel like a wet rag :-(

May I suggest that tomorrow you sit with the other leg crossed. We can't have you going about with odd knees :-D

Just finished watering the all the pots - the ones in the front need watering morning and evening, as they are in the blazing sun all day.

I have masses of huge scarlet geraniums, white pinks, and blue agapanthus.
Red white and blue - very patriotic for the birth of the Royal baby.

Hasten to add - this was not by design, purely accidental :-D

Linda , when I mentioned a " beanie " hat , I was meaning the sort of hat that perhaps a fisherman might wear in the summertime . Made of thick cloth with a bit of a floppy brim , certainly not a wooley , even I'm not THAT mad .....lol

I hope you haven't boiled alive in Wales Tec , I see from the weather site that Wales has hit the highest temperature today :-0

Yesterday I managed to sunburn my knee , just the one mind .... lol , I was sitting in my friends garden for several hours ( whilst of OHs went fishing . I must have had my legs crossed and the right knee is a rather bright red colour now :-0

Today has again been hot but it started off overcast , there is a nice breeze blowing about at the moment :-)

I was sitting on the backyard at 4am with a coffee - it was lovely, but I went back to bed till 7

I woke up lots of times last night, I put the fan on each time

I didn't sleep last night, and doubt I will tonight - if it wasn't that I have to sleep with one eye open, I would sit in the garden all night. :-D

The allotment wasn't too bad because I went down early

I don't know how you can try to untangle my ancestors in this heat - you are very brave.

I have done nothing today except pop to town for something I need - it was nice in the car with the air con going.

I spent an hour and a half this morning picking fruit, but stayed inside for the rest of the day, it was far too hot to be outside.

The man came to service our burglar alarm this afternoon. Poor chap had to go up into the loft to get to the control box, he looked slightly warm when he came out, so I gave him a choc ice

Yes it is silly hot........I am roasting at 10-30pm

I am off to pick fruit while it is still early so I don't fry today. I have a very fetching pink and grey hat to wear. I don't fancy a woolly beanie hat in the sun Amanda, but if it was your dads, I can see why you want to wear it. I have a blue sun hat which belonged to my mother, but the brim on the pink one is bigger ,so I will wear that even though it is one of the cloche type so looks a bit daft.

Linda - you really mustn't bang your head against the wall so much. You'll get a headache!
Carole - how are things in China?

Hope no strangers are reading this thread to-day. What with the above and Amanda and Tec busy with hedgehogs and lily-beetles - I can only imagine what a strange lot they would think we are.

We can get the car onto the allotment, but it is a very rough track, so we only do it when we have manure to take
