Hello Everyone,
Linda, good to see that your daughter has been "released" it is a bit like that when they let you out. Shame the baby fell asleep at feeding time, but I expect that she'll get the hang of it. Hope the scans and tests go well when they do get around to them. Eve was bound to be disappointed that her baby sister isn't allowed home yet. I see that it's going to be horribly hot down there tomorrow - take care.
Persie - I see that you and OH are still rebuilding the town :-D
Diane - It has been just as hot here, but we do have a slight breeze this evening. Thunderstorms forecast, so that will freshen it up a bit - I hope.
Hello Huia - Hope you are well, and warm.
Berona I also think of you when I'm watering my pots twice a day at the moment - at least we only have to do it in the summer here

Do you fit into the pushchair, Linda? Perhaps it was too tight a fit for you to sleep in it. :-)

Hello everyone, just looking in for my daily update.
My daughter was released from hospital this afternoon, so we collected her and she was home for a few hours, but then they went back in to see the baby again.
The baby has been put onto full feeds hourly, but still through the tube. My daughter did have a go at feeding her this afternoon, the bay seemed to know what to do, but then she went straight to sleep. I think having milk delivered straight to your stomach must be easier than having to suck for it. My daughter is having to express the milk every three hours so it can be fed to the baby.
When we left the hospital Eve was upset because she wanted her baby sister to come home too. Tomorrow the NHS opens up again, so they are going to in their words give her a complete MOT. The problem is that they are just going to arrange the various scans tomorrow, they may take lace later in the week,so we have no idea how long we will be needed down here
Eve was up at 6am this morning, she had a nice sleep in her push chair when we went out this morning, but I didn't :-(

I am reading the last few pages, one was very easy to read thanks to Marie. LOL
I have a dental appointment not this week but next. I am going to go to OH's dentist, have not been to a dentist in ages and they have posted me out a form to fill in and welcoming me.. Oh heck will probably only have a couple of visits and then we will move so they won't be leg roping me for long. Once they start wanting to crown everything in sight and out of sight I head for the hills.
That's the reason I stopped going when my dentist (he was excellent, mouth was never numb with injections) said that next time he would crown the one at the back. I thought he had enough of my money, the place was luxurious and now he has moved on and does flash cosmetic dentistry. He used to do NZ's version of 10 years younger.
Though I would be at the emergency dentist too Amanda if I had a couple of jaggy ones. Your tongue can never leave them alone.
I am stripping wallpaper at home and we are organising new kitchen cupboards and a new fence for a tenant. OH has removed most of old fence. I had said to OH that tenant needed a new shelf in her underbench cupboards but they have got worse and it is easier for us to pay someone to do it... himself will be too slow.
I will watch the thread for your newest little granddaughter's progress Linda.
Waves to all including Sue..
Persie .. sorry I am not on here a lot I tend to go all over the place.

I don't get here until all have either gone to bed or off for the day. Lovely to hear that the new baby arrived and I hope that the tubes can be removed soon. My goodness - I wonder what she would have weighed if she had gone to full time??? The good weight should be of help to her progress. I hope I'm right.
Amanda - I smiled when you mentioned that you think of me when you water your pots. This current hot weather might give you an idea of how I have to water mine twice a day in hot weather - and that can be from September to April - so that's why it can become a 'chore'.

Hello Linda, <3
congratulations "on baby sister's" arrival, I too will be praying for her and all her family. Sending special thoughts to you and the family and a (((( big hug )))) to Eve and her baby sister <3 x
Thank you Amanda, it's the memories of his love and attention he had for his rose's that is a comfort to me and to have an offspring of one of the rose bushes is a very special thing for me and my sister :-) You too must get the same kind of pleasure from your mum's rose bush.
Tec has it been a little cooler for you today, it has been rather cloudy here today but still warm but with a very welcome breeze.
Hello and welcome back to the thread Marie, after all the care and attention I put into growing the rose bush from a cutting off my dad's bush ( something I was proud of as I hadn't done it before ) I wasn't going to leave it behind for someone to dig it up and discard it as was done with the original rose bushes in my dad's front garden when he sold the house. I was so relieved to see it doing so well in my sister's garden after nearly loosing it.
Sue, hope everything is ok as you haven't posted for a couple of day's ( I know I don't post every day but I do read the post each day ) <3
Hello Berona, I too get up late in the morning ( more like afternoon ) but I don't have your excuse of it being cold, mine is now I don't have to get up early for work I don't go to bed till early hours in the morning.
Hi Carolee. Sylvia, Huia and Persie if you look in later :-)

So good that Eve is allowed in to see her baby sister, and to see where mummy is.
Amanda - Sorry about your tooth. Wonderful how these things tend to happen at weekends :-( Hope it doesn't give you too much pain.
I remember once starting with raging toothache at teatime on a Good Friday - what a happy Easter that was :-D

Eve is allowed in to see her baby sister, still no name. Today when I held her up to the incubator, she obviously knew something is not right, but the only way she could verbalise it was to say "My baby sister is sad".

Good evening Tec . I don't suppose it made much difference to you that it a couple of degrees less hot :-S I hope you managed to find a cool spot indoors to rest up . It has been cloudy and slightly moist here :-)
I have to admit I am not in the best of moods this evening :-| I was okay until about half hour ago . I was eating a bowl of sultana bran and suddenly had a mouth pain and an " oh no ! " moment , discovered a lump of filling has come out of an upper back tooth :-| just a moment ago I was feeling the lower tooth , that is in line with the damaged one ..... a lump of that tooth has just fallen out !! so now I have jagged areas top and bottom . There must have been a small stone or something in the cereal , which I have obviously swallowed ...... wonderful :-| :-0

Linda - Our posts crossed. Pleased to see the feeding is a success. I can imagine how distressing it is to see the baby connected up to so many things. Poor little girl, but I'm sure that she is getting the best attention. Nuisance that everything shuts down for the weekend - how silly. Take care.

Hello,
Hi Zack, I live in a remote area of North Wales, on the coast. We would gladly send you some heat if we could. It has been 29 here today, and 32 yesterday, which is a tad too hot for me. Very high humidity is the problem. You probably know that not many houses in the UK have air con. Sorry to see that you have to move, that must be very unsettling, but you sound like a very pragmatic kind of lady who will take it in your stride. I see you are into sport. Well not wishing to rub it in, but the Brits are doing very well this year, with the rugby, the Ashes, and the Tour de France. How did Man Utd get on?
Linda, I hope the attempt to feed the baby was a success today, and that her breathing is still satisfactory. Do they allow Eve in to see her baby sister yet? Take care all of you.
Amanda - I notice it was cooler where you are today. I was thinking of coming over, but it's a bit of a treck from here :-D. I am still melting.
Hello Berona, We haven't forgotten you, just because we don't see you much. Hope you've been practising that tango around the living room, terrorising Kitty :-D. Sending you some sunshine, and heat to warm you up. Take care.
Hello Sue if you're around.
Diane - I have plants that I associate with people. I dug up a large peony years ago when my uncle died, and I was helping my mother clear his house. It flowers beautifully every year. Then my mother grew a palm tree from seed. When we moved here I transported it, and now its huge, about 15 ft tall. I have other plants that have sentimental connections in my garden.
Tec :-)

We went to see the baby again this afternoon, I felt so sorry for the little mite as she has a cannula in both hands an a tube down her nose, plus the oxygen tubes under her nose. The good news is that they are starting to feed her every hour through the tube.
As the good old NHS closes down over the weekend, non of the scans can be done until Monday, so everything is in limbo until then.
